5 Bedroom Home with pool and hot tub

Cowichan Valley Country Villa is a large country home on acreage with stunning mountain views. Enjoy the beautiful sight of a pair of young bald eagles who, each year build their nest directly below the mountain in the farm field. Watch the growth and eventual flight of the young. You can also enjoy visits from deer, elk, birds and other wildlife. As you come to the front entrance under twin Maple trees, the foyer leads you up a grand curved staircase to the cozy but formal living room complete with electric fireplace and numerous seating areas to read a book or just watch nature. The formal dining room has French doors leading to the upper deck with views of Mount Prevost and the pool below. The kitchen is bright and cheerful and well appointed. Everything you require to prepare a large family meal indoors or out! There are three bedrooms on this level, the first queen bedroom has a French door leading to the deck and a peaceful area to enjoy a coffee or sit and enjoy the view. The other queen bedroom is bathed in shade from the twin Maple trees. The third room has bunk beds a small cozy reading area with a bookshelf with numerous books suitable for young children. Downstairs there are two master bedrooms with the first equipped with a king bed, electric double sided fireplace, jetted tub, double shower and twin vanity. The second Master has a king bed or if required two twin beds, walk in closet and a three piece ensuite. This room has French doors leading to the pool deck, have your morning coffee on the beautiful sunny pool deck or enjoy a peaceful morning swim. The family room is complete with wood stove, wet bar, television, pool table and French doors leading to the pool deck. Located beside the family room is a library and desk with Wi-Fi access. The spectacular backyard contains a large 20 x 40 foot in ground pool perfect for those hot summer days. Too chilly for the pool? Hop into the hot tub! The pool area is large with plenty of room for a large family for BBQs, a large grassy areas for bocci ball, croquette, badminton or just hanging out. A country setting yet so close to all amenities! There is golf just up the road, a number of local wineries to tour, visit cider houses and check out the brew pub. The Cowichan Commons mall is 5 minutes away. You are in the centre of things if you wish to explore Vancouver Island or surrounding Islands. Lake Cowichan is 20 minutes away with a small town atmosphere and beautiful lakes. If you prefer salty ocean then head in the other direction. Maple bay is 10 minutes away which contains a private little cove to have a picnic or head to the pub where you can sit on the deck and enjoy a meal with a stunning view.Head north and you can explore Chemainus, Ladysmith, Nanaimo and Parksville the last only a 90 min drive away. To the south 1 hour away is Victoria.Rain or shine, Summer or Winter, Cowichan Valley Country Villa will not disappoint!Please note that term rates apply for the summer peak season period only unless booking within 21 nights of arrival. Nightly rates will vary dependent on the term rate value and the length of stay required. Term periods run from Saturday to Saturday.Outdoor pool is available seasonally from May through September. The pool is winterized from October through April.

Only an hour's drive up island, the Cowichan Valley enjoys a unique micro-climate, evident in the area's proliferation of vineyards, orchards and dairy farms. Small communities such as Cobble Hill, Duncan, Cowichan Bay, Cowichan Lake and Chemainus breathe a unique mix of small-town flavor and aboriginal charm into the region.

Further north, the mid-island city of Nanaimo is a quaint tribute to Vancouver Island's oceanic history. With fabulous restaurants, bountiful shopping and numerous outdoor activities at your fingertips, it's clear why this is a growing, prospering community. Just minutes from Nanaimo are the coastal communities of Parksville and Qualicum beach. Parksville boasts the best beach in the world at Rathtrevor Park, it has to be seen to be believed. At low tide the ocean retreats more than 2km our exposing white sand for as far as the eye can see in every direction. One hour further north, the Comox Valley is not only home to the communities of Courtney and Comox but also the island's alpine sports destination: Mt. Washington boasts 60 runs, a high-speed quad chair, a fixed-grip quad (among other lifts) and a vertical drop of over 500 meters. It's easy to see why visitors from the world over make this their skiing destination.

Like your recreation a little warmer and wetter? Take a detour to the island's west Pacific Coast and experience the awesome, wave-crashing majesty of Long Beach, the surfer mecca that stretches between the towns of Ucluelet and Tofino.

Simply put? If you haven't experienced Vancouver Island, you haven't really experienced British Columbia.

Vancouver Island is located off of the west side of Canada and is easily accessible by plane, boat and car. In order to drive to the island from Vancouver you must use the BC Ferries system so please check the schedule before departing. Victoria has a large International Airport that has daily flights to and from Seattle and Vancouver as well as many other destinations. The east side of the island is accessible by car, bus and train. Most of the west side of the island is best accessed by 4x4 as most of the roads are very rugged and much of this part of the island is true wilderness. Please make sure you let someone know where you are going and when you are returning if you intend to head into the back country.
