The guest cottage is an exposed log framed structure with a cozy open planned living space complete with a well appointed kitchenette (a small fridge, small appliances, microwave plus all the dishes and utensils make cooking easy). We have collected over many years an eclectic selection of books and of course there are classic board games and puzzles for those wanting a break from screens.

The charming loft bedroom has a queen bed with feather mattresses ( for those with allergies they feather mattresses can easily be removed). Linens (open air dried when weather permitting:)) and duvets are provided.

The full bath is exclusive to our guests for the duration of their stay. It is accessed by a private entrance in the main house and provides a dramatic view to the forest and brook from the roll top bath. We will do our best to accommodate all musical tastes to provide the soundtrack to a luxurious bubble bath:)

For the more adventurous guests new out houses have been constructed complete with a library and views to the horses and forest. Its a rustic option.

The cottage has a wood stove for those cooler nights. Free fire wood is included.
In the summer wrought iron furniture is placed in the organic garden with the barbecue for out door dining and relaxing. There is also a large fire place at the entrance of the forest for bonfires and star gazing.Let us know and we will prepare it for you.

Situated on 88 acres, Le Temps Perdu allows for the rare experience of having such a large acreage all to your self. Our charming guest cottage is the perfectly private cabin in the woods. Although we seek connections to the many exciting cultural events and our local community, our priority is to provide a peaceful experience while maintaining an harmonic life with the nature that surrounds us. As animal lovers we invite you to bring your pets. Pet sitting is available for a small fee.

We have just returned from an incredible 5 night stay at Le Temps Perdu with Tracey and Hermann and just had to share our experiences in this review... Le Temps Perdu transcends you to a simpler time filled with rustic elegance, natural beauty and world-class hospitality. Tracey and Hermann strive to make your visit 100% catered to the type of vacation that you imagine it to be. There is unlimited potential for unique local outdoor adventures while at the same time it is a retreat for quiet reflection and quality time spent with those you love around the beautiful wood stove. Each day brought a new and exciting adventure. From snowshoeing to the top of Blueberry Mountain, horseback riding lessons with Hermann, antique and bargain hunting in historic and romantic Perth and discovering each morning the beautiful trails right at the cabins own front doors. But some things remained constant each day: A warm and steady fire, a clean, safe and welcoming environment and the ability to spend countless hours reading from the intricate cabin library. We were free to live each day on our own terms. And it was bliss. Their passion and love for their property, its heritage and its wildlife are captivated through intricate storytelling and a deep respect for the land. They have the ability to make you feel like old friends but at the same time respect your need for privacy if you wish. We cannot say enough about their kindness and generosity but perhaps the fact that we are already planning our next visit and miss them already is all that needs to be said. Justin, Bianca and Sadie ( our King Charles Spaniel) Oh yeah, its pet friendly !!
