Our Hanalei, Kauai, Hawaii, vacation rental home is located about 100 yards from almost deserted golden, sandy beaches with good snorkeling. A little farther down the road is a large horseshoe reef providing an idyllic loacation for skin diving, scuba diving and swimming. Tunnels, of surfer's paradise fame, is among the best located here. At the foot of Bali Hi there is a beach that provides fine swimming and snorkeling.
Our Kauai, Hawaii house is secluded and set well back from the road, with few close neighbors. Coconut, papaya and many varieties of bananas landscape the property. While it is not directly on the ocean, the view of the Kauai's Na Pali Mountains is spectacular and can be endlessly viewed from our private back deck.
This section of Kauai, Hawaii, has been used for filming hundreds of South Seas motion pictures and TV series. The area is one of the most photographed in the world, appearing in many travel posters and travel articles on Hawaii. Lumahai Beach, located less than a mile from our home, is featured in the Conde Nast Traveler in its choice of Kauai, Hawaii as one of the top ten islands in the world. The location and the home are primarily Old Hawaii, the Hawaii that existed before mass tourism and the advent of the high-rise.
