PENTHOUSE LANAI: Spectaular views of Kealakekua Bay, the coastline southward, and the pali (mountain) from the third floor open screened lanai (porches) of the Main house. The house is surrounded by tall landscape giving privacy and capturing nature's beauty by bringing the OUTSIDE IN. Bordering a quiet canyon, a multitude of birds are in flight, filling the air with song; like being in an aviary.

Ceiling fans and the screened windows allow for steady air flow and airy breezes.

BEDROOMS: Two bedrooms: one with a queen beds and one with two twins (convertible to a king plus a twin). Portable futons available for the Lanai. Willsleep 1-6 people.

AMENITIES: Kitchenette with 3/4 refridgerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and utensils.(Juicer upon request)

Portable stereo with tape and CD player, BBQ, washer and dryer, lawn area . . . Cable TV and VCR/DVD available in Main House and Cottage.We have friendly outdoor cats and dogs . . . not too noisy . . . just offering security.

PERSONAL SERVICES: The ocean is an easy one-block walk from the house. Kayaks are available by donation upon request.

NAPO'OPO'O VILLAGE--WALKING is pleasant along the roads through the village and along the water or for longer strolls--the road to City of Refuge offers 4 miles to walk, jog, or bike.

CITY OF REFUGE--Historical ancient village located in Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Park located 4 miles to the south.

PAINTED CHURCH--A mile from City of Refuge, a beautiful church hand painted inside with lovely gardens.

BEACHES: o MANINI BEACH--One block from house--white coral beach with tall palms, serene and historical, look out across BAY to Captain Cook Monument. Beautiful swimming and snorkeling and sun or shade-bathing with a chair. o RAMP--One-half block from house--great place to launch kayak or enter water to snorkel &/or swim. Can relax on towel or chair. Wonderful spring-fed Queens pool...safe for young keikis (kids). Lots of fish and occasional turtles. o NAPO'OPO'O BEACH---3 blocks north, rocky with cleared out sandy areas, good entry for swimming when water is calm. Closest swim to dolphins. o KE'EI BEACH--10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the south. White sandy beach. Tide pools, keiki pond, snorkeling, known SURF break. o TWO-STEPS--10 minute drive to the south. Great for snorkeling and seeing turtles and dolphins. Great for basking on the rocks. o HOOKENA BEACH--15 minute drive to the south. Grey sandy beach with a safe beach break for boogie boarding. Good swimming, snorkeling, occasional dolphins, peaceful local setting. o BANYANS--popular surf break in Kona one-half hour to the north o HAPUNA BEACH--One hour north, beautiful long white sand beaches, great for swimming, body boarding and boogie boarding.

Leaving the airport turn right and go south on HWY. 19. After mile marker 94, the Natural Energy Lab will be on your right. After mile marker 96, the new industrial area is on the left side of the road. After 97, Honokohau harbor. After 99, Makalapua shopping center. ( the first set of lights ) Kailua Kona traffic lights are at mile marker 100. Keep going straight, ( south ). The hwy. is now #11

After 118, King Kamehmeha HWY. (traffic lights ) After 116, scenic point on your right. After 114, Honalo town. A Large Gas Station is on your left. Honalo runs into Kainaliu town. After 112, Kealakekua town. Over a mile past Kealakekua, look for CHEVRON GAS STATION on your left, and slow down! Look for Kealakekua Bay sign and go right on Napoopoo Road. This will take you 4 miles down to the ocean. When you reach the stop sign at the bottom of the road, turn left (this is Pu’uhonua Road, no street sign).

You will pass Manini Beach Road on your right. Turn left into driveway after Manini Beach Road, directly across from 2 mail boxes (address 82-6284). KBay Vacation Home and Cottage (#2 on the map) are on the right side of the driveway.
