Location. Avenida Palace hotel is located on Restauradores Square in the heart of the business district in Lisbon, Portugal. It is one kilometre from the shopping area of Chiado District and three kilometres from the Old Town. Lisbon's central station is next door and Portela Airport is eight kilometres away. Hotel Features. The historic Avenida Palace is a six-storey luxury hotel occupying a Belle Epoque palace from 1892, filled with antique furnishings. Driving Directions: From Lisbon (Portela) International Airport (LIS): Distance to Avenida Palace is 8 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Aerobus shuttle bus number 91 runs between the airport, the city centre and the Cais do Sodre railway station every 20 minutes. Tickets cost 2 EUR for a single and 3.10 EUR for all day travel, and can be purchased on board. Public buses depart regularly for a variety of destinations in the city. A shuttle bus runs hourly to Estoril and Cascais, costing 8.50 EUR. Taxis cost approximately 15 EUR to the hotel. There are extra fees for luggage and a 20 percent surcharge for night services. Getting around. An integrated tram, bus, and metro system operates in Lisbon. Daily passes can be purchased for travel on public transport. Street elevators and funicular railways transport passengers to Lisbon's Barrio Alto. Ferries run between Lisbon and Cacilhas. Taxis are fairly inexpensive.

Driving directions. From Lisbon (Portela) International Airport: Drive straight into Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho. Take the second right turning into Avenida E.U.A. Continue straight on, under the viaduct, and turn left at the Entrecampos roundabout into Avenida Republica. Proceed straight until Saldanha. At the roundabout Marques de Pombal, go straight, and then turn left into Avenida Liberdade. Continue down the avenue to the very end. Avenida Palace is on the right.
