The first floor living room is decorated in 1940's Hawaii but modern day amenities including cable television, a VCR and an up to date library have been added. The kitchen is fully updated and stocked and includes a full sized refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, blender, and coffee maker and grinder. One of the best features of the house is its access to the two small private white sand beaches bordering the property. Currently, there are up to six sea turtles making their home along these beaches. They like to play on the shore and eat the sea moss living on the lava rocks. Please keep in mind that the turtles are a protected species and should not be touched or fed under any circumstances. The Historic Plantation House has four bedrooms, each individually decorated. The first floor bedroom has two closets and its own private bathroom. There is a watercolor on the wall that the original owner, William Carter, painted. Bedroom two, on the second floor, boasts a fantastic view of the ocean and has a closet and private bathroom. It is conveniently located next to the upper library for late night reading. There are two sister bedrooms on the second floor that share a bathroom, front and rear balconies and offer unparalleled views of the ocean. Guests will find that each room has two double beds, a radio, a closet and some antique furniture This property requires a two night minimum stay. There is an additional fee of $100 per person, per night for a ninth and tenth guest to be collected at check in.
