Reviews for Cobalt Coast Resort & Suites
Arrived at Cobalt Coast Arie had dinner set up for us, and that was great, but after we went to our ocean front suite and it was HOT (85 Degrees). Couldnít dry off after a shower because you would start to sweet from the high humidity in the room. Talked with Arie and was told he would turn the temperature down on the chiller since the rooms donít have thermostats. We tried to sleep with the heat but couldnít. Talking with other guest to find out some of them was having the same issue. After three nights of heat and no sleep, Arie moved my wife and I from the ocean front suite to a "garden-view" villas which does not have a garden-view, across the street from the resort and a decent walking distance away from the main resort. The Garden villas has its own AC but, four times a day the thermostat would set back up to 82 degrees, thatís how it was programed but the resort and it was locked. Meaning every time you eat, dove or went anywhere your room was hot when you got back and would not cool off for the rest of the day. It's great for relaxing by the pool, but there's not really much to do there beyond diving. Couldnít get from the beach to the water without walking on sharp rocks, mold growing on ceiling and water dripping from AC, the wait staff not friendly at all. Dive shop good but sometimes you load your gear in a truck and then they shuttle you to another location where their boats take off. Mixed drinks made with water downed alcohol. Not much sea life and the reef are bleached and dyeing. Sorry Arie but the troth has to be told and as nice as you are my wife and I were totally disappointed in our stay at the Cobalt Coast Resort. Save your money are go to Cozumel, Curacao, Utila, Roatan, or Costa Rice. Arie may be nice but itís not worth going to Grand Cayman at all.
