Location. Isolated in the Amazon rainforest overlooking the Napo River, the Cotococha Lodge in Quito, Ecuador, provides a hidden, 4-hectacre escape for travelers looking to explore the vibrant surroundings. The 200-kilometer, five-hour journey from Quito-Mariscal Sucre International Airport to the hotel is accompanied by an English-speaking guide and is complimentary. Guests can design their own Amazon excursions each day, and an expert guide is on hand to help travelers choose the most appropriate sightseeing adventure. Examples of available activities include visits to local communities, hikes in the rain forest, canoe trips, night walks, cascade visits, river tubing and rafting. Excursions through the rainforest are included in the rate.
