The Dorisol Mimosa is a modern holiday complex situated 300 metres from the beach with stunning views overlooking Funchal bay on the island of Madeira. The 11 storey hotel features 100 studios, all of which are decorated in warm tones with modern dark wood furnishings, while balconies provide views of the bay or gardens. All rooms have air conditioning, cable television, and kitchens for self- catering. Several restaurants offer a range of menus, from Italian specialities such as homemade pasta and pizza to oriental flavours created in the Gandhi restaurant. Every night dances, music and comedy are performed either in the piano bar or next to the pool. A gym provides fitness equipment, with a sauna and jetted tub for winding down. A complimentary shuttle bus services the city centre several times a day, souvenirs are available in the gift shop and onsite parking is provided. The beach, a charming promenade and Lido swimming complex are all a 500 metre walk from the hotel and Madeira wine company is two kilometres away. Funchal Airport is 25 minutes by car, 20 kilometres from the hotel.

Driving Directions: There is a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. A taxi from the airport to the hotel costs approximately 30 EUR. Driving directions: From the airport head for Funchal, exit Hospital/Funchal, then head for Camara de Lobos and cross the bridge, pass the traffic lights and turn right and then left and the hotel is on the right.
