Description & Details of Gallery Hotel
Location. The boutique Gallery Hotel is located in South Kensington in central London, England. The Science, Natural History and Victoria and Albert museums and the Royal Albert Hall concert venue are all within 650 metres. Harrods department store is 800 metres away. The Earls Court and Olympia exhibition centres are within a mile of the hotel and Buckingham Palace is three miles away. South Kensington Tube station is 500 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The intimate Gallery Hotel is decorated and furnished in Victorian style, with more than 50 paintings in the lobby, which also has a grand, panelled reception area. Guests are served by immaculately dressed butlers.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are several within walking distance and 24-hour room service is available. The lounge has comfortable sofas, deep-pile carpet and tucked-away bar.

There is a well-equipped meeting room for up to 15 people, and wireless Internet access in public areas (surcharge).

Guestrooms. The Gallery Hotel has 34 air- conditioned guestrooms, furnished in Victorian style with patterned curtains and warm-coloured fabrics. All rooms have wireless Internet access (surcharge), tea/coffee making facilities, satellite television and safes. Bathrooms have bath/shower combinations and complimentary toiletries.

Driving Directions:
From Heathrow Airport (LHR):
Distance to Gallery Hotel is 14 miles, approximately 35 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Heathrow Express train is the quickest way into London. It departs from the airport every 15 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Paddington Station in central London. The journey is non- stop and costs 14.50 GBP. Paddington is on the Hammersmith and City, District and Circle, and Bakerloo lines of London's Underground (Tube). Additionally, the airport is on the Piccadilly line of the Underground, which runs directly to Kings Cross, Leicester Square, Knightsbridge, South Kensington (500 metres from the hotel) and Green Park underground stations. The journey to central London takes approximately one hour, and trains depart every 10 minutes. A one-day travel pass costs 6.30 GBP, including travel to Heathrow (in zone 6). Black taxis cost approximately 50 GBP to central London. Coaches operate to London Victoria and the rest of the UK, and the airport is also served by local buses. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The Gallery Hotel is 500 metres from South Kensington Tube station (on the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines). The London Underground (Tube) and buses are the easiest ways to travel within London. Single tickets are expensive, but an electronic Oyster card offers a cheaper fare. Oyster cards can be purchased from ticket offices for 3 GBP (refundable). Daily or weekly travel passes are the most economical way to travel, and are valid on buses, trams, trains, and DLR, as well as on the Underground. Black taxis are available on the streets, but can be expensive. Driving is not recommended for visitors and a congestion charge zone is operated in central London.

Driving directions. From Heathrow Airport:
Take the M4 towards central London.
The History Museum. 4, then Cromwell Road at the junction with Earls Court Road.
Continue on Cromwell Road.
Turn into Queensberry Place, in front of the Natural History Museum.
