Getting there. Taxis from the airport cost approximately 25-30 EUR to Hotel Solara. There are additional fees for motorway tolls and extra luggage, and fares are more expensive at night. Bus number 98 runs to the city centre for 4 EUR. Get off at the 'Congres' stop. Gare St Augustin station is 500 metres from the terminals; trains run from here to Nice Gare Ville station regularl y. Getting around. Nice city centre is compact and easy to explore on foot, particularly the seafront and Vieux (old) Nice. Parts of central Nice are pedestrianised. Buses operate within the city centre and along the rest of the Cote d'Azur. Driving is not recommended within the city, and taxis are expensive. A car is recommended for exploring the coast further.
