A towering high-rise hotel, the Hilton Osaka is located opposite Osaka's main train station and within three kilometres of the castle and Museum of Oriental Ceramics. This 35-floor hotel features 525 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which feature bright, modern decor with dark wood furniture, and come equipped with satellite TV, high-speed Internet connections and tea and coffee making facilities.
There are numerous dining options at the hotel, including everything from Italian pasta to spicy Asian food in Checkers brasserie, Chinese cuisine in Dynasty, and Japanese specialities in Genji. The hotel's bars include one on the top floor, serving light meals and drinks accompanied by live music and views across Osaka. The Fitness Centre is located on the seventh floor and includes a gymnasium equipped with hi-tech exercise apparatus; experienced instructors on hand to help develop training programmes. Guests can also take a dip in the 15-metre indoor pool with hot tub, sweat it out in the sauna, or enjoy a massage on the 22nd floor. Treatments include traditional Swedish massage, full-body massage, and sports massage, a concentrated programme to stretch and restore balance to damaged muscles. Driving Directions:
A bus service operates from the airport to central Osaka, and costs around JPY 1,300 one way. A taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost approximately JPY 15,000. Other transport options include limousine bus, ferry, shuttle bus and passenger train, but the most convenient is the Nankai Railways Rapito, a bullet-train that takes only 29 minutes. The subway system is colour coded and easy to use. A prepaid day card is available for unlimited subway and city bus travel. Private and JR train lines also run through town. There is also a sightseeing bus, with a range of different tours available, which leaves from Umeda train station. Osaka also operates a range of ferries and sightseeing cruises around its bay.
Driving directions: From the airport take Hanshin Expressway Wangan Route (no.4) NE to Osaka. At Tempozan junction, take Hanshin Expressway - no.16, towards centre, and the Loop (no.1), clockwise, South, and then North. Exit at Umeda and turn right to Osaka Station, facing Osaka Hilton.
