Getting there. A frequent bus service departs every 10-20 minutes between the airport and Place Verdun, in La Rochelle's centre. The journey is approximately 10 minutes and costs 1.20 EUR for a single ticket. Taxis from the airport cost approximately 12 EUR to the city centre and the hotel. The railway station is 800 metres away. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. La Rochelle can be explored easily on foot. Visitors can also borrow a complimentary bicycle, available within the city for two hours. These are yellow, and are left at bike racks throughout the city. Electric cars are an environmentally friendly way to explore the city. Available from Place Verdun, they can be hired by pay- per-use method. Boat trips run to the neighbouring islands of Aix and Re from the harbour. Direct trains run between La Rochelle and Bordeaux and Nantes (two hours), as well as Paris (three hours).

Driving directions. From La Rochelle Airport, head west on Rue du Jura toward Avenue Modere Lombard, there turn left.
Turn left at Avenue Raymond Poincare onto the D21.
The D21 becomes Place de Verdun, follow this turning right.
Turn right at Rue Chaudrier.
Turn left at Rue Dupaty.
Turn right onto Rue des Gentilshommes for the hotel.
