Location. The modern Hotel Rocamar is located in Canico de Baixo on the island of Madeira, Portugal. Funchal Madeira Airport (FNC) is nine kilometres away and Funchal city centre is 10 kilometres from the hotel. Hotel Features. Hotel Rocamar is a four- storey complex set on the rocky cliffs of Madeira, overlooking the hotel's pool and the Atlantic Ocean. The pool area is accessible by a series of platforms and steps leading down to the water and features a seawater swimming pool, sunbathing terraces with loungers and parasols, and a poolside beach bar.

The hotel's restaurant serves regional and international dishes and is open for breakfast (complimentary), lunch and dinner daily. The bar restaurant serves lunch daily and the beach bar opens during the summer and offers barbecue food. Both bars hold daily happy hours.

A video and games room houses table tennis, darts, billiards and a television and video player. Atalaia diving centre is situated in the pool area. Hotel Rocamar features folklore shows weekly and live music twice a week. A complimentary bus runs to Funchal three times a day (except Sunday). Guests are able to use the facilities at the Royal Orchid sister hotel next door, including a Turkish steam room, fitness room, massage services and hot tub.

Getting there. Taxis to Hotel Rocamar cost approximately 20 EUR during the day. There is a surcharge after midnight. Buses connect to Canico from Funchal. The Aerobus runs to Funchal city centre every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 5 EUR. The hotel can arrange airport transport for a surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Canico is served by a good public bus network. A car is useful for travelling further afield.
