Driving Directions: From Cologne-Bonn Konrad Airport (CGN): Distance to Meininger City Hostel and Hotel Cologne is 17 kilometres, approximately 15 minutes' drive.

Getting there. From Cologne-Bonn Airport, take the S-Bahn 13 in the direction of Hansaring. The fare for a single ticket is 2.10 EUR, and the journey time is 18 minutes. From there, transfer to the U-15 in the direction of Koln Ubierring or the U-12 in the direction of Zollstock. Get off at Rudolfplatz station. Exit the station via Hohenstaufenning and walk in the direction of Zulpicher Platz for about 800 metres. Mozartstrasse will be on the right. Follow it for 200 metres and turn right on to the Engelbertstrasse. Meininger City Hostel and Hotel Cologne will be on left. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The centre of Cologne can be easily explored by foot. Schildergasse, Hohe Strasse and Breite Strasse are pedestrianised and most main attractions are located around the Altstadt, on the left bank of the Rhine. A transferable ticket (VRS) entitles travellers to use all transport facilities, including the underground, buses, trams, and RB (RegionalBahn), RE (RegionalExpress) and S (S-Bahn) trains. Train-only tickets can also be purchased. Both types of tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the city's train stations. Only VRS tickets can be bought from tram, bus and underground stops.
