Driving Directions: Taxis are available from the airport and a trip to the hotel costs approximately 30 EUR. Funchal can be easily explored on foot and has an efficient bus system which runs into the countryside, but travelling by car is a more reliable alternative for longer trips. From the airport, take the motorway in the direction of Funchal. Exit at the Hospital/Funchal turn-off on the left, and then take the second exit at the roundabout. Drive down this road and turn right at the traffic lights. Drive straight until the next roundabout, take the left lane and exit to the left of the Caixa Geral de Depositos Lido Building. The hotel is about 100 metres along, on the left-hand side.
