Rome's integrated transportation system includes
buses and trams (ATAC), subway (metropolitana),
suburban trains (FM) and coaches (COTRAL). The city
center is easily negotiated on foot. Rome justifiably
has a reputation as one of the most dangerous places
to drive in the world. Its narrow streets and relaxed
attitudes towards traffic regulations make it a
challenge for even the most experienced driver.
