Hotel Features. The distinctive lobby features avant-garde sculpture, a wall of flowing water, and screens behind the reception desk that project modernistic images. Rhodes W1, the hotel's dining venue, is owned by chef and author Gary Rhodes. This cosmopolitan brasserie offers European dishes with a distinctly British influence. Kua Bar provides chic pre- and post-dinner ambience, whereas The Market is a spacious dining venue with five separate kitchens that caters to corporate entertainment. The Cumberland - a Guoman Hotel devotes the property's entire lower level to events, with 26 function rooms located within three zones defined by individual color schemes. The hotel's complimentary, limited-hour fitness facility offers cardiovascular and weight machines, each equipped with personal headsets and television monitors. Guoman Shop The Cumberland offers luxury leather products and high-end jewelry. Clefs d'Or concierge staff assist guests with sightseeing and reservation requests.

Guestrooms. This eight-story hotel offers 1,019 guestrooms that reflect airy, contemporary design with either bright green and blue, or red and pink color schemes. All rooms boast desks and laptop-compatible, in-room safe. Coffeemakers and refrigerators are included. Beds feature and plexiglass-etched headboards with original designs and are draped with Egyptian cotton sheets. Room amenities include flat-screen televisions, and high-speed wired and wireless Internet access. Bathrooms contain Molton Brown toiletries and heated towel racks.

Expert Tip. The uniquely crafted guestroom headboards depict five distinct concepts. The original designs include The Horse Headboard that was inspired by the Quadriga sculpture located above London's Wellington Arch. Other designs honor Art Deco style, the Arches, Metalwork Design and the Cumberland's architectural flair.
