Not in this case:the loft has lived up to all its expectations and more.This luxury vacation apartment itself is spacious and quaint. The furnishings are adequate,comfortable and utilitarian - in fact, carefully chosen so as not toclutter the 55m2 space. It is more than adequate for one person (as in mycase), but I have had people stay on many occasions during my 3 monthsojourn - up to 3 visitors at a time - without feeling cramped. The couchesdouble up as comfortable beds and enough linen is provided. I thought thatthe lack of an oven would be an impediment to my culinary adventures: infact, it permitted me to be more innovative and I surprised myself with thedelicious meals that could be prepared with only a microwave and two plateson the electric stove.Being situated on the 6th floor has its benefits as far as I'm concerned.You are spared any overhead noises, have a spectacular view of the otherapartment roofs and chimneys, the blue sky on a clear day and get theglorious afternoon sun. The white paint, windows and skylines provideadequate lighting. Furthermore, although serviced by an elevator, I alwaystook the stairs - this was excellent exercise and firmed the derrièresubstantially!The superb location of this Paris vacation apartment was also a huge bonus. It is verycentral and in close proximity to all the notable tourist sites, shoppingareas and entertainment centers. The public transport is excellent inParis, with metros and buses everywhere, but thanks to the address of theloft, I never made use of the above, as I could walk absolutely everywhere.This I would recommend if one loves walking, as I do - otherwise make useof the public transport system. Walking simultaneously permitted me to takemy daily exercise, view sites and visit important areas. And Paris is acity which lends itself to exploring by foot - it is flat,pedestrian-friendly and well-designed with clear signposts. Armed with amap and walking shoes, the world/city is your oyster!I am having a wonderful time in this glorious city and thoroughly enjoyingliving in this loft. Even the imminent winter and cold weather is notdaunting as there is central heating!If the loft is available on my next visit to the city, I shall rent itagain , even if for a week. Furthermore, I shall recommend this luxury vacation apartmentto my family and all my friends.InesMany other comments on request...all positive!
