Since our resort is ideally situated on approximately 3 acres of land spanning from 180 feet of prime beach front to 180 feet on the bay, it does not really matter whether you are on the beachside or bayside as you are always just steps from the beach, our heated fresh water pool, the boat docks or our Tropical Courtyard. Remember to bring your camera to capture one of our breathtaking sunsets or for the chance to photograph a dolphin or manatee.

A Beach Retreat has a wide range of units from efficiencies to 3 bedroom suites to meet everyone's needs. I stayed at "A Beach Resort on Casey Key" I checked in Tuesday 6 July, (room 45) On Wednesday, I informed the staff that I would be checking out on Friday instead of Saturday because of a family emergency. On Wednesday night I took my family back home to Orlando.
I vacated the room at 7:00 Friday morning. Friday at 4:00 pm I checked with the office about a refund of the unused day. they told me no because they did not rent the room. I informed them of the condition of the room. the toilet was not bolted to the floor . I asks them to fix the room prior to renting the room again. they then rented the room to a walk in. after renting the room, they still refused to give a refund for the unused night. I received instead letter giving me one free night, that at first sounded good until they put the stipulation that I had to spend two other nights in this hotel prior to receiving the free night.
It sounds like I am raising a lot of fuss about one night of rent ($109.00 + tax) how ever what really upsets me was that the hotel rented a unserviceable room after they where told the room was unserviceable. Some of the other observed problem; the state hotel laws were not posted in the rooms, the room had no telephone. the toilet was not bolted down, the kitchen facet was not connected to the sink. (very loose) not enough towels for the number of people in the room. the staff knew there would be 4 guest in the room, there was only one bath towel. The bed had no padding left on it between the springs and the sheet. all this for $99.00 a night plus tax.
