An Island House at Cayman Kai, Rum Point has long been a pleasant alternative to a Hotel Room Vacation. More Comfort, More space! More privacy! More for your money!
Our Island House is designed for life in the Tropics where Inside and Outside become One.
The New Look of Barefoot Lagoon.
Our Island House has recently had a complete face lift outside. The entire outside has been stuccoed to a beige yellow color, all new screening, and a aluminum roof. Please visit our web site www.eandbcaymans.com for complete details on location, activities, amenities, photos and an actual “Virtual Tour” of our Island House and the Famous Rum Point Beach, Traveler’s Information and other pertinent information.
We offer special amenities that other rental properties don't.
Use of a new kayak* (one or two user's capabilities with safety belts), two new bicycles,
snorkeling equipment , air mattress's-both adult and children, swim safety vest for children(2 sets) and 2 swim noodles.
Kick off your shoes, relax in a home away from home, play in the sea, taste culinary delights, and ending your day with a romantic sunset of the Caribbean.
Located in the heart of Rum Point on the north shore of Grand Cayman, this two-bedroom Island House is ideal for a family or two couples. The Island House features a pool, deck, lagoon with dock with water views from both the two-story screened-in porch and the pool.
Set in landscaped gardens with white sand on the quiet waters of the lagoon within 150 feet of your back door, this Island House is fully equipped with every comfort for an outstanding vacation in a contemporary tropical house.
Enter the famous Rum Point Beach by taking a few steps from your front door on a sand path between white picket fences. As you walk towards the beach, cool trade winds quickly erase all thoughts of your job, commute and bad weather at home. Australian pines with island parrots and tropical birds sitting on feathery branches the shore.
Looking through a 2-story wall of glass from the foyer, office/music room and living room you see the Caribbean Sea. Turn around, see your screened-in-lanai, back yard and the lagoon in the distance (about 50/100 feet) through 20 feet of sliding glass doors. Adjacent to the living room is the dining room and kitchen, complete with coffee maker, microwave, blender and all the necessary cooking tools. Off to the side is a closet with games and storage space, 1/2 bath, laundry room with washer and dryer, ironing board, laundry supplies.
The 2 story screened in lanai contains an informal dining area (with barbeque gas grill) directly off the kitchen that provides an unobstructed view of your hand raked sand lawn back yard with
tropical tress and shrubs leading to the pool (within 50 feet), boat dock and shoreline of the lagoon.
This Island House has two bedrooms suites located upstairs: each bedroom has a full private bathroom with shower and bath, and sliding glass doors opening on to a private screened-in-balcony (both rooms have a lagoon view), walk-in-closets, ceiling fans, TV's, clock radio and individual air conditioning. One bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and dresser, the other has two double beds and dresser.
Fully air conditioned, but two 10 foot glass doors slide away to open the first floor living room, dining room and kitchen to a two story lanai overlooking the lagoon and the pool. There is an office/music room off of the living room.
The lagoon and dock is 150 feet from your backdoor, the pool is less than 50 feet from your backdoor.

Deposits
Tentative reservations are always accepted. Although, if a reservation is requested for the same time period and a deposit is offered, the reservation backed with payment will take precedence.
REGULAR RESERVATIONS: An initial 50%transferable,but non-refundable deposit is required to book a reservation, with the remaining balance payable no later than one month before arrival -- Deposit may be made in the form of Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer in US dollars or through Pay Pal.
HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS: An initial 50%transferable, but non-refundable deposit is required to book a reservation during the Holiday period (arrival or departure between December 20th and January 3rd, inclusively), with the remaining balance payable no later than two months before arrival. Deposit may be made in the form of Check, Money Order, Wire Transfer in US dollars or through Pay Pal.
•In order to allow you to secure airline reservations and avoid disappointment, we can put a 48-hour hold on accommodations, without any deposit.
Cancellation & Return Policy
The initial deposit we require to confirm a reservation, while not refundable, is completely transferable without penalty -- subject to certain conditions. Should we be advised, in writing and sufficiently in advance, of your inability to occupy the reserved lodging, we'll gladly apply the entire initial deposit to an alternate stay within the twelve months following the date of cancellation, subject only to availability. Current rates, in effect when the new reservation is made, will apply.
To transfer the initial deposit to a new stay, and not charge the remaining balance due; we must be notified by e-mail, fax, or letter, at least thirty-five (35) days prior to confirmed arrival for all reservations, except those with arrival or departure during the Holiday period (December 20th to January 3rd, inclusively), for which we require sixty-five (65) days prior notice.
The remaining balance is due one calendar month before scheduled arrival, or two calendar months before scheduled arrival for Holiday period reservations. Once paid, the remaining balance is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, at our disgression and if we are advised early enough to re-book the accommodations during all or part of the original stay, a partial transfer may be applied to a new stay.
Should, for whatever reason, the remaining balance not be paid on or before the due date indicated in the confirmation we forward, the reservation will be considered to be cancelled by the reserving party.
This policy, although perhaps less flexible than that of many large hotel chains, is essential in renting our property. Unlike most hotels in the US, Canada, Europe and other metropolitan areas, ours cannot count on any local trade, or guests arriving by car at the last minute. We depend almost exclusively on an overseas clientele arriving by air for visits invariably planned well in advance. The cancellation notice stipulated is the minimum we consider necessary to have any chance of rebooking accommodations.
We sincerely hope that you can appreciate our situations, and we thank you for your understanding

Bare foot lagoon was the most enjoyable vacation spot my family has ever chosen. We rented the house for a week and wish it had been two. My children loved having their own room, and the rest of the house was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked including recipes from previous guests. We spent every morning out on the Lani and then headed to Rum Point for the rest of the day. After spending the day on the beach the kids did like the option of a pool to play in at the end of the day , the pool was just a short walk out the door and the house provided floats for use. We are already planning out return trip for this year and plan on staying 10 days. This the the iedal location for Families to stay, away from crowded seven mile beach but still reachable by car in about 20 minutes.

Dear Bob, WOW. What else can we say? This was by far the best vacation we ever had and we have been all over. Add us to the list of people who will be back. The big decision daily was should we walk across the street and snorkel all day, at Rum Point Beach, or walk out back and jump in the pool. Rum Point Beach was perfect. It has everything we could want. We ate lunches there and the dinners were exceptional. The gift shop had everything we would want. Red Sail and Captain Ebanks were great. Whatever you could want is just a walk across the street. It is so clean and I was so amazed that there were always open space and an available lawn chair. The Ferry shuttle to 7 Mile Beach was a great ride and allows you to spend the day at 7 Mile Beach and do so many things. Our favorite day at 7 Mile Beach was paragliding.
Everything was so perfect. The house was wonderful and the best touch for me was the bedroom set up. We bought a guest and to have 2 separate suites was wonderful. Since I also traveled with teenagers it was great for me to go upstairs and be able to watch cable TV and let them have the downstairs to blast music and play video games - we brought our own X Box.
The house had everything we needed. We did make it to 7 Mile Beach but were so happy to come back to paradise. It was so quiet at Cayman Kai. So beautiful and friendly. We loved the people, so kind and easy going. Everyone smiles and is friendly.
The Island is so beautiful and there is no bard part on it. We spent 2 full weeks and went everywhere.
Our favorite was snorkeling with the sting rays. What an experience. This is the only place in the world you can do this. We had to go again and again. My favorite memory was being able to hold one. This is a memory that will last forever. The sea turtle farm and butterfly farm are a must see. The submarine ride was also excellent for those of us who do not snorkel.
The food, it is so incredible. We could not believe, on such a small island ,there would be over 100 places to eat and all are so great. The service was superb and people so friendly. Conch Sushi was incredible. Our favorite place to eat was Kaibo Kai. We were regulars there. Every meal we had was a 4 star meal.
We felt so lucky to have found the Island House. There are many houses to rent but the pool was a wonderful extra. I lived at the pool and had it alone most days.
We all agreed that we had the best house and the best place to stay. We agreed to return next year, after only a few days on Grand Cayman. We could have stayed another week.
Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home.
Cheers, Cheryl Holmes, daughter and friend, Burlingame, CA

Dear Bob and Eileen, We had a wonderful vacation in the Cayman Islands. It was so beautiful, with great weather, nice people and your home is very pretty. We went swimming with the sting rays. Several days it was windy so we drove to the south side of the island to beaches (Spotts) to get away from the wind. The snorkeling was amazing, I have never seen so many conch shells. Staying in Rum Point was great, it was nice to be able to walk across the street to the beach and to eat. The whole family got a kick out of the rental car with the steering wheel on the opposite side and driving on the left side. It was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to our next visit. Thank you for all of your advice with the house, pool and kayak. We did try the kayak one evening in the lagoon and everyone had fun. Thanks again and we hope to get back there soon.
