The Sunsetter is centrally located in Kill Devil Hills & away from the heavy traffic that vacationers find north. The Sunsetter is 2 minutes or so from The Hayman Beach access ( very popular spot, you will spend a lot of quality time here) 2 minutes to KDH free public pier ( the kids love it )
ATTENTION BOATERS!!/ Just a few minutes to the new FREE public boat ramp!! A few minutes to Wright Brothers Memorial, walk to Chili Peppers & Coastal Cactus & 5 minutes from Lafagatas, Henry's (where the locals go for breakfast), Black Pelican, Goombays(plus a shopping mall with a Food Lion.) To the north is Kitty Hawk, Duck & Corolla. To the south is Nags Head, Oregon Inlet (O.I. is great if you have a four wheel drive or if you want to see the sport fishing boats return from the gulf stream with their catch at 4:30). Further south is Cape Hatteras & the island of Ocracoke (the ferry is free!). This makes for a great day trip! The sound is a couple minutes down the street & the K.D.H. public pier is free. The kids love it & is great to watch the sunset. P.S. Bring your bikes if you have them!
