Bradenton is a lovely area located south of Tampa on the South West Gulf coast of Florida. It is the next city to Sarasota which is a city recognized as one of the best for shopping, culture and eating in the USA - not just Florida - however in Sarasota there is no short-term villa letting allowed so Bradenton is the gateway to the area.
Many of the best beaches on the Gulf Coast are a short drive - Anna Marie Island, Bradenton Beach and Siesta Key to name but a few. The Bradenton area has many different dining out opportunities ranging from the well known family restaurants to the specialist smaller restaurants - one of the best we have tried is a Chinese buffet with a choice of over 50 dishes!
Shopping choice in the area is also fantastic with the large stores in the DeSoto square complex and the Outlet Centre at Ellenton having some of the best designer outlet stores - Saks, Liz Clabourne, Ralph Lauren, Nike, Versace and Levi's. It is also within easy driving distance of Orlando and the Everglades.
