Our Smoky Mountain vacation home has over 200 feet of waterfront on Lake Glenville. Lakeside Cottage at the Point enjoys a “million-dollar” view of glistening Lake Glenville. Fed by five mountain streams, Lake Glenville is 4.5 miles long and covers more than 1,460 acres. Its twenty-six miles of shoreline meanders past canopied country roads, Christmas tree farms and picturesque waterfront homes. At 3,800’ elevation, Lake Glenville is the highest mountain lake east of the Mississippi River. It is the ideal destination for a family vacation, a “Big Chill” gathering of friends, family reunion or weekend getaway.

The interior of our two-story vacation rental home reflects the ambiance of a sophisticated mountain cabin. Features include hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, sunken great room with wood-burning, stone fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, double oven and custom cabinets. Each of the four bedrooms has its own connecting bath. Outdoor living spaces include a screened shade porch, generous bi-level sun and dining deck overlooking the lake and a grill patio for cooking out-of-doors.

Lakeside Cottage at the Point offers all the comforts and conveniences of home. Our mountain vacation home is outfitted with satellite TVs, DVDs, CD players, wireless Internet access, board games and puzzles, fishing poles, kayaks and a red canoe. Bed linens, bath and beach towels, kitchen and laundry supplies, washer and dryer, even firewood for cool mountain nights are provided for our guests to use. We provide just about everything our guests could need while enjoying a mountain lake vacation.

We want our guests’ Smoky Mountain vacation to be as enjoyable as possible! Our goal is to exceed guest expectations so that the memories our guests’ take home are those that they will treasure always.

Our mountain vacation rental home in Jackson County is convenient to many area activities and attractions: mountain golf courses in Cashiers, Highlands, Sapphire and Waynesville; antiques, boutiques, galleries and mountain crafts in the villages of Cashiers, Highlands and Sylva; a wide variety of restaurants offering everything from home cooking to fine dining regional cuisine; boating, fly-fishing, hiking trails, horse-back riding, mountain biking, waterfalls, and white-water rafting.

We accept cash, checks, American Express, VISA, MasterCard and Novus/Discover cards. Checks should be made payable to: Lodging Resources. We require a credit card number to be held as a security deposit for any damages to our home, furnishings or equipment.

To guarantee your reservation, we require a deposit of 50% of the rental cost at the time the reservation is made or within 7 days if paying by check. We must receive the balance at least 120 days prior to your arrival date. (If reservation is made within 120 days of your arrival, 100% deposit is due at the time of reservation).



Cancellations of reservations less than 120 days prior to scheduled arrival date will result in the loss of the entire deposit.



Rental rates do NOT include 10% local taxes or security deposit. The security deposit is $500 and is refundable after checkout if no damage or loss is evident. A departure cleaning fee IS INCLUDED in the rental rates. 4th of July (6/27 - 7/10) weekly rate is $4500. 4 night minimum over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's - $635 per night.
