Del Mar racetrack and fairgrounds are about a 15-minute walk from the complex (the thoroughbred racing typically runs from mid-July through the first week in September). Cedros shopping district (boutique shops featuring unique household items) is a 5-minute drive. Famous Del Mar and LaJolla shops are a 10- to 15-minute drive. Lots of golf courses nearby, as well as sport fishing. Plus proximity to Interstate 5 (5-minutes away) allows relatively fast access to all of San Diego's well-known attractions like Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Old Town, Gas Lamp District, Seaport Village, LegoLand, etc., etc.
