Or for nimble adults or older children there is a sleeping loft just up the fixed ladder in the den. The fish and lily pond can be heard gurgling just outside the bedroom, or den.
Dine inside on the teak table, or outside on the large deck at the rattan table. Take in the fresh tropical breezes while you absorb GREAT OCEAN & MOUNTAIN VIEWS of the Koolau Mountains, Chinaman's Hat Island, and Kaneohe Bay.
You can bathe in the beams of the morning sunrise as they greet you from the ocean horizon. Stroll the one-acre property to the shoreline. The large grassy promenade is great for ball play and there are some sitting rocks at the oceanside garden for meditating and absorbing the cool breezes and scenery. Attention swimmers: the beach here is not for swimming as it is much too shallow.
Hale 'O Bali is close to everything on the island. It's just a three-minute drive by car to the closest swimming beach at Kualoa Beach Park which is consistently voted one of Oahu's top ten beaches. We are located on the Windward side just off the main artery heading up to the North Shore.
There are 2 Indonesian houses on the property. Leilani's son, Charlie, lives in the other house, and caretakes the property, while attending college.
At Hale'O Bali you'll have the benefit of country living with the city at your fingertips. We hope you'll come experience the beauty and delights of the tropics at this unique home away from home.

Hale 'O Bali is located just a 3 minute drive to Kualoa Ranch and Kualoa Beach Park. Kualoa Ranch is privately owned but open to the public. She boasts over 4000 acres of ranchland and scenic valleys. Activities include Horseback Riding/Trail Rides, a petting zoo, exotic animal collection, fishpond tours, Paint Balling, Jet Skiing, Snorkelling, and Scuba Diving. Kualoa Beach Park is a state owned public beach park which is so close it's easy to take a dip any time of the day there.
The Byodo-in Temple is seven minutes away. Enjoy feeding thousands of Koi Fish in the large reflecting ponds here while strolling through the Japanese style gardens and admiring this replica of a 900 year old Buddhist Temple in Japan.
The Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie is 20 minutes north.Enjoy great entertainment, education, and shows here along with Oahu's only I-Max Theater. Continue north on the scenic shoreline drive another 20 minutes to famous North Shore Big Surf Beaches including Sunset, Pipeline, and Ehukai. Summer months are very swimmable with great snorkelling on the North Shore, but Winter months can bring HUGE, monster waves here and swimming would be extremely dangerous.
Continue on to great diving and snorkeling in the protected tide pools area of Shark's Cove in Pupukea. The North Shore is also the place to find famous puka shells.
Continue on to Audubon Society's newly acquired (2003) Waimea Falls Park and Botanical Gardens. These gardens showcase an impressive array of native and other tropical plants and flowers. Breathtaking Waimea Beach Park is just across the highway.
Then enjoy famous Matsumoto's Shave Ice in Haleiwa. This town is brimming with great shopping, boutiques, art collectibles, surf stores, restaurants. and cafes.
If you head south from Hale 'O Bali, Kaneohe's shops, restaurants and major malls are less than a 15-minute drive. Continue on to Kailua Town for more great shopping, dining, cafes, and world-famous beaches.
Honolulu is a 35-45 minute drive away. The Airport is an easy 30 minute drive.
