It is located in the small town of Linville Falls, just miles from Grandfather Mountain, The Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, Linville Caverns, Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and much more!
It has all the modern necessities you could think of including an outdoor hot tub, large flat screen TV, DVD player, washer/dryer unit, brand new stainless steel appliances, free-standing gas fireplace, gas grill, double-headed shower, etc.
Not only will you enjoy your time at the cabin, but the location allows you to enjoy some of the most popular and beautiful locations in the area. The cabin is located less than 1 mile...walking distance...to Linville Falls and Wiseman's View, an incredible view of the Linville Gorge right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Other attactions, such as Grandfather Mountain (10 miles), Sugar Mountain Ski Resort (15 miles), Ski Beech (25 miles), and Boone, NC (30 miles) are only a short drive away.
If you would like to travel with another couple, but want to keep your privacy, Poplar Den has a sister cabin called Hemlock Cove right next door (but not too close)! It shares the same quality craftmanship and amenities that Poplar Den has.

The cabin is fully loaded! We provide all linens and towels, paper products, dish soap, hand soap, etc. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utinsils, cookware, glassware, ceramic stove top, oven, refrigerator, ice maker, and microwave oven. The 2 person tiled shower is even more kush with a double-headed shower. Relax in the living area on the nice leather recliner or sofa, turn on the fire with flick of a switch and watch your favorite dvd on the flat screen, wall mounted TV. If that's not enough, cook your favorite meal on the gas grill and then take a load off in the hot tub just outside your bedroom door!

Hemlock Cove and Poplar Den are located in the charming town of Linville Falls. They are within walking distance to the infamous Linville Falls with unbelievable views of the Linville Gorge. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wiseman's View is within walking distance to the cabins as well. Many of the area's other attractions are also just a short drive away. Explore the caves of Linville Caverns, improve your skiing, snowboarding or ice skating skills at the local ski resorts...Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian Ski Mountain. Snow tubing has also become a favorite winter activity and can be found at Hawksnest, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian Ski Mountain also. The outdoor activities are endless year around!

We stayed in the Poplar Den July 23-25. It is a great cabin, lots of room, beautiful view, nice hot tub right outside; a/c/ full kitchen, a/c. We loved our weekend getaway and were generally lazy. Our only problem was leaving. We could not get up the hill even after repeated tries. Fortunately, the neighboring cabin was rented to a nice couple who had 4-wheel drive and pulled us out. The driveway needs to be paved. It was quite an adventure after a delightful weekend.
