In the Provence city of Arles, right by the Rhone and just below the ancient Roman Arena, we have a small family-run Bed and Breakfast and Provencal cookery school. Our rooms are large and calm, two of the three overlooking an inner courtyard. All have private bath and wc. Price per couple is 55E/night with breakfast. Additional person is 15E, additional child is 10E. No smoking, children and well-trained dogs welcome.

The Roman Arena, outdoor theatre, the catacombs of the Roman forum. The medieval facade of the St. Trophime church. Museums specializing in Roman history, Provencal folklore, and a collection of Picasso drawings. From Arles you can visit the Mediterranean and the wild marshlands of the Camargue, take a train to Avignon, drive through the small towns of the Alpilles to taste olive oil and local Cote du Rhone wines.
