Two beautiful cabanas, (both included in this unique Belize vacation rental) joined by a lovely pergola covered deck, on the soft sands of the Placencia peninsula are now available for weekly, monthly or longer rentals. Just steps from the Caribbean shore, your own 400 ft beach faces east toward a stunning sunrise each morning.

Although very affordable for one couple, the cabanas will comfortably sleep six to eight. Perfect for two couples traveling together or for parents who want their children in a separate cabana. ??The Maine Stay Suites are very kid and toddler friendly... with enclosed spacious deck and fenced beach yard with 8 foot wading pool. High chair, Pak N Play crib, video baby monitor and car seat available. Check out the full list of amenities. Family Friendly.

Traveling is easy: Belize City is only two hours from Miami and Houston. Our cabanas are only two and a half miles from Placencia airport, which is only a thirty minute flight from Belize City via Tropic Air or Maya Island Air. From the US: Continental, American, US Airways, Delta and TACA fly in to Belize City.

Many guests rent a vehicle at Belize International Airport and drive the beautiful 2-3 hour drive to Belmopan and then down the Hummingbird Highway through the Maya Mountains to Placencia. It is just a stunning drive. It is also a great way to travel Belize.

Passing through jungle and citrus orchard as it skirts the northern edges of the Maya Mountain range, Belize's Hummingbird Highway offers a near constant procession of postcard-perfect vistas. There are also plenty of reasons to stop along the way, chief among these being a visit to Cave's Branch for cave tubing and St Herman's Cave, where, with a guide, you can explore its huge caverns and classic Maya ceremonial chambers containing calcified skeletons and artifacts. There's also the Blue Hole, a 25ft-deep sapphire-blue swimming hole inside a 328ft-wide cenote that was formed when the roof caved in on one of the Sibun River's underground tributaries.

Drew and Karen are fantastic. We want to come back and stay with them again. The place is so well organized and clean and what kind people. They were across the street for whatever needs we might have, but weren't hanging over our shoulders - we had our privacy which makes this place so great...the view...your own beach...we never wanted to leave.

I met up with my parents from Australia, and my sister and her boyfriend from London, for a belated Christmas family reunion in January 2006. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the accommodation to anyone. It was perfect for our family reunion, but also would be a good getaway for couples or for a group of friends. Drew and Karen were delightful hosts, and the cabins are right on the water. Belize is a magical place, everyone should get down there before it becomes over-crowded with tourists!

Renting the cabanas was the best travel decision I could have made. We arrived to the most gorgeous lit-up oasis, just after dark. We rented a 4x4 in Belize City and were so glad we did! It made arriving to our cabanas even more dramatic after coming off of the dark bumpy hwy! My husband and I (30-somethings) brought my two teenage nieces and we felt like millionares. Each cabana is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything one would need for a week of fun: bikes, kites, fishing rods, games, floats, sand chairs... coffee maker! So much more than I ever expected and we used all! As the owners suggested, we slept w/ the doors wide open each night, waking to the sunrise each morning. Wow... I felt safe in our private paradise and it was like coming home each night after our excursions. Thank you so much Drew and Karen for your hospitality and assistance before departure! You guys rock!!! No doubt, we will return someday. Hope you'll have room for us! Next time no excursions... just stuffed fry jacks and our little pier!
