Rentalo.com has been Reviewed!

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

It’s always such a pleasant surprise to see a positive review of your vacation home or website. This time Rentalo.com was reviewed by the owner of a popular blog for vacation rental owners and managers called arrangeyourvacation.com .

We have been referred to as the “site with a lot more information that any other travel site”. The owner of this friendly blog was also positively surprised by the complete and detailed information provided in our property listings saying: “it seemed as if they were hell-bent on getting their site certified on ISO9001!”

This is definitely a great start of the week! Read the full review of Rentalo on arrangeyourvacation.com.

The New York Times recommends Rentalo.com

Monday, August 6th, 2007

Everyday more and more travelers realize the benefits of staying at a vacation rental rather than a hotel.

I was at a party the other day and was talking to friend about how different it is when you stay in a home.  He was telling me that when he goes to Orlando Florida with his family, he always stays at a vacation rental and not a hotel.  In Orlando you can find great vacation rentals with kitchens, private pools, hot tubs, private garage… so much more than a hotel!

Europeans are also thinking twice about staying at hotels and looking at vacation rentals as great alternative to lodging.

The New York Times just released and article were they recommend Rentalo.com as a great source to connect property owners with travelers (under “Think twice about hotels”).

New York Times article: “Summer Rentals: It’s Not Too Late”

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007

Excerpt from the article:

A survey of members of the Vacation Rental Managers Association found that their inventory of United States homes was up by 12 percent this year, said Michael Sarka, the association’s executive director. And new rental listings are up about 20 percent from last year at Rentalo.com, an online search engine that connects travelers directly to property owners and managers. The uptick in inventory means renters have more room for negotiation. Horacio Artiga, 31, a professional dog walker from Washington, was able to reduce the price of a two-week June rental of a four-bedroom house with an eight-person hot tub in the Outer Banks by $600 just by asking for a better deal. One tip: Factor in rental fees and taxes before making an offer and you are much more likely to stay within your rental budget, Mr. Artiga said.read full article

Winter Savings At Colorado And Utah Ski Resorts Through Lodging Search Engine Rentalo.Com

Steamboat Springs, Breckinridge, Park City Among Locations On Directory That Lists 120,000 Rentals Worldwide

MIAMI, Jan. 26, 2006 - Rentalo.com, the free online search engine and directory, has discount offers of up to 50% at selected properties at ski resorts in Colorado, Utah and other U.S. ski destinations in February, March and April. Rentalo quickly finds the type and price of accommodations travelers seek for winter and summer vacations. Three examples of these offers are in Steamboat Springs and Breckenridge, Colorado and Park City, Utah.

Rentalo lists dozens of properties in Steamboat Springs on its web site. Aspen, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Telluride and Vail are among other Colorado ski resorts with hundreds of vacation rental offers on Rentalo. Helpful new tools on Rentalo are the site maps powered by Google. The area map for Steamboat Springs and other ski resorts allows browsers to pinpoint the locations of vacation rentals with pop-ups showing a photo and brief description of each one. Google site maps are now found at most U.S. destinations on Rentalo.

On Rentalo.com, skiers will find a 39 percent savings through Feb. 24 at a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath condominium in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, in the heart of Ski Time Square near shops and restaurants. The condo sleeps six and includes fully equipped kitchen, family room with gas fireplace, washer/dryer, whirlpool bathtub, cable TV, DVD, VCR, stereo and CD player. The ski-in/ski-out complex offers heated outdoor pool, free garage parking and discounted lift tickets. The reduced rate of $335 per night is for a minimum four-night stay.

In the winter and summer resort of Breckenridge, Colorado, just 80 minutes from Denver, skiers with family or friends can rent a two-bedroom three-bath condo with loft for $225 nightly through Feb. 22 for a minimum three-night stay. The 1,400 sq. foot unit is a four-minute walk to the lift and downtown with panoramic views of the ski slopes and the Ten Mile Mountain Range. Savings on this rental is 24 percent off the regular price.

In Park City, Utah, steps from the lift at the base of Park City Mountain Resort, is a condo hotel that offers studio to three-bedroom units. Wood-burning fireplaces, free private in-town shuttle service, ski lockers, and concierge services are just a few of the amenities at this AAA hotel with rates starting at $119 per night through March 31 for a three-night minimum stay.

Rentalo.com does not book or sell accommodations, but rather connects those seeking vacation rentals to available properties. It does so by providing quick access to 120,000 rental homes, villas, apartments, condos, hotels, guesthouses and bed & breakfast establishments at close to 15,000 locations in the U.S. and around the world. The web site now records nearly five million page views per month.

Those who do their own search will find all kinds of accommodations in Rentalo’s extensive inventory in all price ranges in cities and resorts throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Central and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia. The “define search” option allows browsers to check all categories of accommodations and narrow their choice and it also offers optional criteria. Many destinations include a link to discount offers on the opening page.

Travelers who browse for destinations and accommodations online can save time and money by using Rentalo’s unique property locator service - fully automated and free - that matches properties with the inquirer’s criteria: destination, type of property, dates and price range and notifies them in a matter of hours of the matches and of the instant search that is underway.

Rentalo’s free online newsletter “Best Value Accommodations” helps find savings on vacation rentals year-round. The twice-monthly newsletter offers discounts of between 20% and 80% on selected properties to those who register their e-mails on the site. The Rentalo newsletter lets subscribers add an unlimited number of destinations to their listing. As soon as a subscriber adds new destinations, Rentalo will start sending discount offers on selected properties.

Rentalo’s locator service uses virtual e-mail addresses when contacting rental property owners. The online search engine offers an efficient and safe way to find a selection of places to stay with rental offers arriving by e-mail in a matter of hours and Rentalo’s e-mail privacy option maintaining the privacy of the inquirer.

In Rentalo’s extensive inventory, travelers and travel agents will easily find vacation and business travel properties in all price ranges from budget to luxury in cities and resorts everywhere in the world. Travel agents who register on Rentalo have access to rentals that offer commissions of up to 20%. Agents and corporate travel planners, who register on Rentalo’s affiliates “publisher” link program, can earn additional revenue in this program.
