If you are receiving inquiry alerts from Rentalo because you have a non-paid (free) or expired listing subscription in our system. A free listing subscription allows you to promote your hospitality or rental business in Rentalo, receive inquiry alerts from highly targeted leisure and business travelers, and answer these inquiries via RENtalo's multi-lingual messaging service.
There is no upfront cost or obligation for promoting your business in Rentalo, simply answer inquiry alerts from potential guests and when receive a 'booking request' notification from a traveler, then choose a paid subscription (starting at as low as $16 a month) to start getting direct contact information from travelers. Can I contact travelers directly?

As a free listing subscription, you will be able to take advantage of Rentalo's multilingual messaging platform to send offers or messages to travelers in response to inquiry alerts, however, you cannot pass any direct contact information to travelers or try to post any direct contact information that may allow travelers to contact you directly e.g. hotel name, email, phone, url, etc), as displayed in all your conversations with travelers:

IMPORTANT: Please avoid including any direct contact information such as email, phones or urls in your messages to travelers. We are constantly monitoring these conversations. All violators will be suspended immediately. If you wish to have unrestricted messages with travelers, please pay for a listing subscription.  

We created our free listing subscription and the messaging platform to allow new prospect clients to communicate with travelers and assess the quality of Rentalo's leads. Via Rentalo's messaging platform you will even be able to receive booking requests from travelers prior to choosing a paid subscription.  There is no need for you to try to communicate outside of Rentalo to secure your first booking.  During your 'free' listing period, we highly recommend that you focus your energy in getting to know Rentalo, editing your listing, and replying to traveler's inquiries in a timely matter. We are confident that you will soon get a booking request, and formally join our growing community of property owners, innkeepers, and hospitality businesses.

Where can I find my listing?

If you edited your listing (or authorize Rentalo's personnel to do so), and your listing complies with our minimum publication requirements (e.g. must have 1 photo and a description of 100 words or more), your listing should be published in our Directory. Simply SEARCH for the name of your property's destination and browse the listings to find yours. Free listings are ranked below paid listing subscriptions.

If you have not edit your listing, chances are that it is not published in our directory. If so, to find your listing is by signing in to your owner's account, then clicking 'Properties' and then 'Edit /Manage'. If you dont have your password, click the 'Forgot Password' link to receive your password to your registered email.

How did Rentalo find us?

Rentalo.com uses a number of sources to find clients who would benefit from our services. Some of these sources are local chamber of commerce, local or global business directories, yellow pages, affiliate referrals, etc. If you don't remember registering for a free listing at Rentalo, please contact our customer service.

Why can't I reply directly to travelers?

Simply because it is proven NOT to be a good business practice. Reputable businesses do not give their services for free! Rentalo is been online since 1999, and has a BBB A+ rating. Giving easy access to traveler's contact information, without conducting proper anti-fraud , will lead to scams and frauds. Additionally, as a way to motivate more bookings, Rentalo offers up to $5,000 protection as part of our "Worry-Free" Lodging Guarantee to travelers booking via Rentalo. Therefore, it's Rentalo's responsibility to conduct proper verification on each new client and property added to our inventory prior to putting them in contact with potential guests. At Rentalo, we work very hard to generate high quality leads. These leads are expensive, and we simply do not feel it is a good business practice to give them away to clients, without proper commitment on both ends. What is Rentalo's Messaging Platform?

Rentalo's messaging platform is a user interface designed by Rentalo to facilitate the communication among travelers and listing owners. When an inquiry is sent by a traveler searching for a place to stay, Rentalo broadcasts this inquiry to all the listings that match the inquiry's criteria in a destination. When owners click the REPLY button on the alert emails sent by Rentalo, they land on the page called 'Conversation with john Doe'. This is the user interface (or webpage) that allow owners to send and receive offers and/or messages to/from travelers without any restrictions via the Rentalo's messaging platform. Each party may is the Google's translation service embedded in these conversation pages to select the language of their choice.
