Help for Property Owners

Dear Property Listing Owner,

Rentalo is a Hi Q TeleCOM division dedicated to promote vacation rentals in the Internet. Since 1995, Rentalo has grown to become one of the largest sources of vacation rentals available online. Our company has invested in developing innovative marketing tools and techniques to provide high quality services for owners of vacation rentals.  On January 27th, 2002 we released our new inquiry database system.  This innovative tool is the result of many years of hard work, and software development efforts.  Because it is a new system, we respectfully ask for your cooperation and patience while you learn how to use our system.  Below are some of the most commonly asked questions from our customers.  If you cannot find below the answer to your question, please contact us via email or call us at our toll free number 1.877.710.5914 or 305.558.5577.

First, you may need to find out the type of listing that you have with us?
To find out, simply click on the "View your Property listing" link provided in the inquiry email you received from leads@rentalo.com If there is a Premium Property! tag next to your listing, then you have an active Premium Listing. If not, then you have a  non-premium (free) Premium listing.

If you have a Premium listing, go to FAQs from Premium listing owners

If you have a non-premium (fee) listing, go to FAQ's from non-premium (free) listing owners

FAQ's from Premium Listing Owners

1) How can I get my Premium Property listing ID (UID)?
UID (Unique Identification) is a long number (e.g., 199902021234567-1234) that appears below your property listing)

2) How can I get my password?
First, you need to find your listing by going to property owners, clicking on the Find/Edit listing, and then typing your email address. Then click on "Edit Listing" link (under listing options).  At this time, the last option in this menu is "Forgot password".  Important: Please make sure you enter your Rentalo's registered email address (If you are not sure, please refer to "Your registered email" in the email you received from leads@rentalo.com). Within a few minutes, you will receive an email from webmaster@rentalo.com providing you with your password.

3) How can I get the contact information for the inquiry?
As a premium listing owner, you have full access the the Inquiries database in the same area as your Premium listing. Once you know how to get your listing UID (Refer to question 1), and password (refer to question 2), all you need to do now is click the Contact Information link (where it says "Click here") in the email you received from leads@rentalo.com:

When a window called "Getting your contact information" comes up, enter your Premium listing UID and Password.

4) I can not get the contact information for inquiries in some areas? Why?
Many of our Premium listing owners have multiple listings in Rentalo. Some of these listings may not be Premium listings.  Also, some may be in different geographical areas.  For example, many property owners in the Disney area have listings in Orlando, Kissimmee, and Davenport. If you have a Premium listing in Orlando, then your property listing ID and password will not work for viewing the Contact Information on inquiries in Kissimmee or Davenport.
If you are interested in having full access to the Inquiries database in other areas, and be able to reply to inquiries in these areas, you need to convert your listings on each of the areas to Premium, or create a new Premium listing for each of the areas.

5) Can I have multiple Free listings in addition to my Premium listing(s)?
We do not recommend that you have multiple listings in the same area (you only need one per area).  However, you may want to add Free listings in other areas just to keep track of the inquiries Rentalo generates in a particular area.  For example, many owners in Orlando have free listings in Davenport.  It is also useful to assess Rentalo's ability to generate leads for you in certain areas.

6) How can I stop receiving inquiry emails?
Simply selecting "No" in the Messages field when editing your listing (refer to question 9 below).

7) How can I delete a Property listing?
You can delete your listing by checking (clicking on it and seeing a checkmark) the Delete field while editing your listing.  (refer to question 9 below).

8) I cannot view the inquiry email.  My email account does not support html.
We are working on this issue at the present time.  In the meantime, please browse our Inquiries directory by clicking below:
http://www.rentalo.com/vacation_rentals/browse_inquiries.html

9) How can I make changes to my listing?
You first need to know your password (refer to question 2 above).  Simply, click on the "Edit" link (under listing options) that appears right underneath your listing.  You can change the following fields when you edit your listing:
Category (Geographical location or Area), Title, Description, Email, URL, Messages (uncheck if you do not wish to receive inquiry emails), Notify, and Delete (checkmark if you want to remove your listing).

10) How can I find my listing?
There are 3 options for you to find your listing(s):

Option 1: Click on the "View your property listing" link that you received from leads@rentalo.com Now a Rentalo page will come up on your browser containing your listing information.

Option2: You can also search for your listing using your URL or email address, click here

Option 3: Navigate (browse) our online directory of properties, click here

FAQ's from non-premium (free) Listing Owners

1) How much does it cost to have a Premium listing with Rentalo?
Please click on Convert to Premium to find out about our rates.

2) What are the steps to make my listing a Premium listing?

Step 1: Open up the inquiry email you received from leads@rentalo.com   (If you cannot view inquiry, please refer to question 8 on the FAQ's from Premium Listing Owners).

Step 2: Click on the "View your property listing" link provided in the email from leads@rentalo.com (Now a Rentalo page will come up on your browser containing your listing information)

Step 3: Click on the "Convert to Premium Listing" link below your listing description.

Step 4: Select your form of payment (Credit card online, by phone, Pay Pal, check, PO, etc).
Please keep in mind that you can only reply to an inquiry immediately if you make your payment online using Verisign. Otherwise, you may need to wait up to 48 hours for Rentalo to process your payment and convert your listing to Premium.

3) How soon can I respond to an inquiry after paying the Premium fee?
If you pay with a credit card via Verisign, you can do it immediately.  As soon as you get the approval from Verisign, your listing will be activated as a Premium listing automatically. At this time you can click on the contact information link in the email you received from us, enter your Property Listing ID (UID) and Password, and view all the available inquiries in your area. Otherwise, you may need to wait up to 48 hours for Rentalo to process your payment and convert your listing to Premium.

4) If I cannot reply to this inquiry, why is Rentalo sending it to me???
As a non-premium (free) customer, these inquiries serve as a way for you to assess Rentalo's effectiveness in providing leads for your rental properties. Also, under certain circumstances, Rentalo may be able to sell the lead for a 10% commission (please read answer to question 5 below)

5) Our company's image is getting damaged if we are unable to respond to inquiries.  Please help. First of all, a very large percentage of these leads (more than 95%) are generated from our online customers who fill out an Inquiry form available on our main page.  In most cases, you are receiving an Inquiry email from us because you have one or more listings in an area chosen by our customers.  These inquiries are from customers requesting information about rental properties in your area (location).  These customers are not requesting information about your specific property. Now, it is also possible that one of our online customers finds your property listing while browsing our directory. Since you have a non-premium (free) listing, our inquiry form comes up when they click on your property, and we collect the inquiry information. When we get these types of inquiries, we are sending a special message to you from leads@rentalo.com with the following text: "A Rentalo customer is interested in your property(ies). If you do not have a Premium listing, please contact us"  If you are not interested in paying the fee to become a Premium listing owner, but you are interested in the lead, Rentalo will sell it to you for a 10% commission (or a minimum of $15) on the total booking cost of the property.

6) How can I get my Property listing (UID)?
Please remember that you need to have a Premium listing in order to be able to retrieve the Contact information from any inquiry.  However, all listings have a UID, simply click on the "View your property listing" link provided in the inquiry email you received from leads@rentalo.com Then look for the UID number below your listing description (long string of numbers including "-" and 3 or 4 more numbers).
tip: We do not expect you to remember or have to type this number every time you receive an inquiry from us. Simply highlight the entire UID, COPY (Crlt-C) & PASTE (Crlt-V) it into the UID Box to get the contact information.
If you have more than one listing, please make sure you use the UID of the Premium listing that corresponds to the same Area (Rentalo related Category) as the inquiry you just received.  This can get a bit confusing if you have multiple Premium listings in multiple areas.

7) How can I get my password?
To get your listing's password, simply click on the "View your property listing" link provided in the inquiry email you received from leads@rentalo.com Then click on "Edit" link (under listing options).  At this time, the last option in this menu is "Forgot password".  Important: Please make sure you enter your Rentalo's registered email address (If you are not sure, please refer to "Your registered email" in the inquiry email you received from leads@rentalo.com). Within a few minutes, you will receive an email from webmaster@rentalo.com providing you with your password.

8) How can I get the contact information for the inquiry?
You first need to convert your listing to a Premium listing (see question 2 above).  Then please refer to the answer on question 3) in the FAQ's from Premium listing owners.

9) Can I have multiple Free listings? How good are they?
We do not recommend that you have multiple listings in the same area (you only need one per area).  However, you may want to add free listings in other areas just to keep track of the inquiries Rentalo generates in a particular area.  For example, many owners in Orlando have free listings in Davenport.  It is also useful to assess Rentalo's ability to generate leads for you.

10) Can I stop receiving inquiry emails?

We are working on this issue at the present time.  Meantime, please browse our inquiries directory by click here

13) How can I make changes to my listing? How can I change my email?
