Property Owners & Managers Help
| How Rentalo's Owner Referral Program Works?
If you are receiving emails from Rentalo.com, your email address was provided to us by a guest (or traveler who stayed at your property and who you authorized to send you emails directly or indirectly via a third party), or by a travel agent registered in our network who recommended your property to us (again someone you provided your email address to, and authorized to send you emails directly or via a third party). At Rentalo, we collect email addresses of property onwers via these methods:
1) Via our owner referral program, please click here to learn more about our owner referral program.
2) Via our free inquiry service surveys sent to our opted-in database of travelers & traveler agents, upon submitting an inquiry in Rentalo. Travelers's emails are double-opted as part of our inquiry service. All our travel agents are registered via a sign in form.
3) Via our owner's registration page.
For the past 7 years, Rentalo has been building a loyal network of online travelers and travel agents currently consisting of 600,000 online travelers, 15,000 travel agents and 100,000 property owners and agents. So far, Rentalo.com has helped 5.2 Million online travelers and travel agents link to property owners (please read our testimonials). This may explain why would a traveler or a travel agent referred your property to Rentalo.
Fraud affects us all in the internet industry. In Rentalo, travelers and travel agents can click on the "Submit Inquiry" tab on any of our 15,000 destinations and complete a short form to get offers from multiple property owners at once. To minimize the number of deceptive or fraudulent inquiries, Rentalo has enforced an email verification process for all new travelers and travel agents for the past 2 years. In addition, we also have a dedicated staff performing QA functions, which include 24x7 monitoring and manual approval of suspicious inquiries. We understand these fraudulent activities, however minimal, hurt our property owner and travelers. They also hurt Rentalo's reputation, and therefore it is one of our highest priorities to eliminate (or at least minimize) these activities. Our goal is to continue improving our QA process in order to deliver an ever increasing number of high quality referrals to our property owners. Early in 2007, we plan to implement additional fraud detection technologies. Please read our help page on the related topic Scam Alerts & Tips.
Please also note that all commercial e-mails sent from all Rentalo hosted servers are in full compliance with all the commercial requirements as stated by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) CAN-Spam Act: Requirements for Commercial Emailers as pointed below:
- All e-mail headers are accurate and identify the person or department who initiated it
