Great news for our property owners & managers! During the past several months we have been working on adding new features and significant improvements to our site. Finally, the time has now come to introduce to you  these new & improved features as part of our version 2.0.  We want to thank you for your support, and look forward to providing the best possible service and return on investment (ROI) for your business.

New Feature:  Auto-Offers

A new automatic offer service specifically designed to help owners get more bookings for their properties listed at rentalo.com. When this feature is activated, rentalo.com can generate an instant offer for your property (using provided pricing & availability information) to prospective clients (travelers) upon submission of their inquiries. Our Auto-Offer facility provides these key benefits:

  • Owners get more bookings from Rentalo -  Travelers & vacationers will be able to view your offers immediately upon submitting their inquiries. 
  • Owners save time by not having to reply to individual inquiries -  Owners will only need to respond to emails from travelers requesting bookings for their specific properties using the auto-offer service.
  • Travelers receive instant offers - Travelers do not need to wait until owners have time to write them back with pricing and availability information.  The initial response will be generated automatically upon activating the auto-offer service.

In order for the Auto-Offer to work properly, we will need the owner's cooperation in the following:

a) Full Property Details - Your property listing at rentalo.com should include all the necessary information such as property name, description, amenities, near-by attractions, etc.

b) Updates to Pricing Schedule - Your listing should also include the most recent rates in order for rentalo.com to be able to generate offers that are as accurate as possible.  To learn more about our pricing schedule, please read below.

c) Updates to your Availability Calendar - As part of version 2.0, we are releasing a new availability calendar feature (read below).  Your property availability calendar must be updated as often as necessary in order for rentalo.com to be able to generate offers for dates that are available, or prevent generating offers for dates that are not available. To learn more about our new availability calendar, please read below.  Note: It is the property owner or manager's responsibility to maintain their availability calendar up to date. 

The Auto-Offer feature is an optional feature, and there is no additional cost for using this new feature.  It can be turned off or on anytime, without incurring any additional cost or penalty.  To start taking full advantage of this feature right away, just login at http://my.rentalo.com to activate your auto-offer today, and start enjoying the benefits of this great feature.

New Feature:  Email Verification

As part of our commitment to provide you with high quality leads, we have now added an email verification requirement to our general inquiries. rentalo.com now verifies all email addresses provided by travelers and vacationers prior to sending these inquiries to our property owners and managers.

New Feature:  Availability Calendar

This is a new easy to use feature for maintaining your property's availability calendar.  Our friendly interface allows owners to "mark" blocks of dates that are booked or not available.  Dates that are not marked are assumed to be available, and therefore travelers will be able to submit inquiries for those dates.

The availability calendar is an optional feature provided by rentalo.com as part of our Premium benefits.  There is no additional cost for using this new feature.  It can be turned off or on anytime, without affecting or incurring any additional cost or penalty.

New Feature:  Guestbook

We now provide a new facility that allows your guests to submit their comments or reviews concerning their personal experience with you as a property owner or manager, or about the property.  Review notifications will be sent to owners as received and approved by rentalo.com.

New Feature:  Live Help now available!

We now provide a new help & support feature via a live chat which is normally staffed M - F, from 9 AM to 7 PM EST.  Weather you are making changes to your listing, or trying to respond to an inquiry, we are only a click away to assist you in any way we can.

New Feature:  Explanations & Tips

A new online facility to enrich My Rentalo with several useful explanations and tips, right where you need them the most.  Simply place your cursor on top of the symbol, and a window will open containing relevant information about the item or term next to it.  We have integrated most of our Do-It-Yourself help menu into these windows so that you can read our explanations at the right time, without having to go anywhere.

Improved Feature:  Additional Property Details & Filters

As part of version 2.0, we have also added the following special amenities:
- Children (under 12)
- Pet Friendly

- Smoker Friendly

We have also added the following property types:
- House Boats, Yachts, Charters
- RV / Campers
- Private Islands
- Timeshares

In the near future, we will use these items to filter our general inquiries in order to provide a better match for the travelers and owners.

Improved Feature:  Pricing Schedule

We have added the following features to our pricing facilities:
- The ability to add weekend pricing (specially attractive to B&Bs). 
- Faster loading of prices
- Added text boxes for including payment methods, deposits, taxes, cancellation policies, and any other additional fees.

Improved Feature:  Unlimited Pictures!

As part of our standard Premium service offering, we now allow our customers to host unlimited pictures of their listings at Rentalo at no additional cost.  Why? When it comes to getting bookings online, we strongly believe that pictures speak better than many words put together! therefore we at Rentalo feel that it is mutually beneficial to allow our customers to have the best possible display of their properties.

For quality assurance purpose, we will monitor the use of this unlimited feature.  Rentalo has the right to remove any pictures at any time without the owner's consent.

  • If you have a one (Single) Premium subscription with us ... Begin using our new auto-offer feature prior to your next renewal date, and we will extend your annual subscription for 13 months when you renew it.   • If you have a Multiple Premium subscription with us  ... Begin using our new auto-offer feature prior to your next renewal date, and we will extend your annual subscription for 13 months when you renew it.   • If you manage 2 or more properties ... but you only have a one (1) Premium subscription with us at this moment, you only pay $125 (that is a 50% savings of our regular Multiple subscription fee!), if you convert your existing subscription to Multiple prior to your next renewal date.  To do this, login at My Rentalo To take advantage of this special offer, login at http://my.rentalo.com, click "properties", and then select "convert to Multiple" under options.

Other Changes

  • Revised subscription plan rates - In order to keep-up with the increasing costs of internet marketing, and yet maintain an increasing inflow of inquiries and targeted traffic, we revised our subscription rates as follows:
    Single property listing - $125 USD per year (before $95)
    Multiple property listings - $250 USD per year for 2 to 5 listings (before $190)
    These new rates take affect immediately, but will not apply to you until your next renewal due date.
     
  • Updates to our 6-month money-back guarantee - As per releasing our Auto-Offer feature, it is now required to have this feature activated on your listing(s) in order to qualify for our 6-month money back guarantee.  Listings subscribed prior to 09/01/2003 are not required to activate the auto-offer, however, as per existing guarantee conditions, all listings are expected to contain full details including pictures, prices, etc. in order to qualify for a full refund.
