Pelican Beach Resort in the heart of Destin has more amenities than any other high rise in Destin. It is a first class resort. My rates are below the resort rates and any other real estate company. This unit is located on the fifth floor with spectacular views (unit #513). I also have a two bedroom on the first floor (unit #114), one on the seventh floor, and one on the seventheenth floor (a corner Dolphin unit). I also have a three bedroom two bath at The Terrace at Pelican Beach (unit #904) on the ninth floor. One bedroom units I have are on the eighth, sixteenth, and twentieth floors.

... I do not keep an availability calender since I have multiple units and availability is constantly changing. The unit is beautifully decorated. I have just completely painted and updated this unit (in 2005). I have been self managing my unit since the building was built in 1997.
Few other resorts can compare with the diversity and selection found at The Resorts of Pelican Beach. Go for a swim in one of the three adult pools (gulf front, lakefront, or indoor/outdoor) and let your tots play safely in the shallow kiddie pool. Exercise and fitness centers located in each building make it convenient to maintain your exercise program. In season, enjoy a snack at the poolside deli and provisions shop, or cool off with a frosty beverage at the beachfront bar. Tennis courts, a video game room, Pelican’s PlayZone ( a seasonal children’s recreation program), and two spas are guaranteed to keep every member of the family entertained.
The resort is located in the Heart of Destin across from the Big Kahuna Water/Theme Park, directly on the beach. The resort has security at the entrance, covered parking, two tennis courts (at no charge), shuffleboard, movie rentals at the front desk, a game room, a restaurant/deli that serves pizza, sandwiches, etc., and also sells beer, wine, etc. to go. There is a kids program during the spring and summer season called Playzone. They offer parents night out and daily activities for the kids. Pelican Beach also has a tiki bar overlooking the beach, an indoor/outdoor heated pool, a baby pool, a large outdoor pool with a waterfall, jacuzzi overlooking the beach, beach umbrella and chair rentals, barbecue grills overlooking the pools, workout facility with steam room and sauna (at no charge), and the most beautiful white sandy beaches and emerald green water in the country.
There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby. Walk to the Back Porch for lunch or dinner. There are litterally dozens of shops and restaurants within a mile of the resort. Silver Sands, a large factory outlet mall is right up the street for those rainy days (if there are any). Fort Walton Beach has a new pier to fish off of that is wonderful. Deep sea fishing is right up the street! Destin was a fishing town before it was anything else, so you can come home with quite a catch. Take a ride down 30-A to Seaside for some sightseeing.
Or you can check out the new area in Sandestin Resort called Baytowne Wharf - lots of shopping and great restaurants overlooking the Choctowatchee Bay. For the kids there is bungee jumping, dune buggies, go carts, and a water park right across the street. For the little ones there is a great little amusement park a couple miles away. If you want to feel like you have really gotten your oney's worth, and have never been to Destin, now is the time to go. No matter how long you stay, it is never enough. There is also a brand new shopping area called Destin Commons, less than a mile away. It has a 16 Movie Theater complex, and many great stores and restaurants (Pro Bass, Abercrombie, Limited Too, Sharper Image, Black & White Market, Hard Rock Cafe, Johnny Rockets, Ann Taylor, and Build a Bear just to name a few).
The Emerald Coast was recently picked as the #1 Beach in America by USA Today readers and selected for the 8th year in a row as the Best Beach in the South and Top Family Destination by Southern Living readers! Destin beaches are the whitest, prettiest, sand I have ever seen.

They also have dune buggies, different types of bungee rides, go carts, etc. Destin Commons-New in 2004, a great outdoor shopping mall with restaurants (including a Hard Rock Cafe, Panera Bread, Starbucks, and Johnnie Rockets). All the kids favorite stores from home are found here (including Build a Bear, Hollister, Abercrombie, Claire's, etc. For Dad, there is a Bass Pro Fishing Shop! There is also a 16 theater movie complex. Located at the corner of the Mid Bay Bridge and Highway 98.The Gulfarium-See sharks, dolphins, tropical fish and more. Located in Fort Walton Beach.Baytowne Wharf-A New Orleans styled village located in the Sandestin Resort overlooking the bay. Consists of many boutique shops and restaurants. Don't miss it.
