Dear Mollie and Tom,
We wanted to send you an e-mail THANKING YOU for such a wonderful visit and stay at Casa Romantica in the Casa Que Ve Al Mar condominium complex in Zihuatanejo, Mexico...
We also figured you might appreciate a testimonial regarding the services you provided us as we can't say enough about how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to stay at Casa Romantica and enjoy our honeymoon there, as well!
From the minute we inquired about the Casa Romantica, Mollie was instrumental in our decision to have our wedding on La Ropa Beach.
We had wanted so much to have a beautiful beach wedding in Mexico, and had checked out quite a few locations before finding the Casa Que Ve Al Mar option on VRBO. We loved the idea of having the wedding in Zihuatanejo, right away, once we saw that the beaches were pristine with a very romantic setting, as well as the proximity of the downtown area so that our guests would have the convenience of other amenities in case they weren't TOTAL BEACH LOVERS!
We were able to easily find a wedding planner online named Francisco Ibarra. He is located in Zihuatanejo and performs weddings on La Ropa Beach at his family owned restaurant called "La Perla" among many other local locations. It is walking distance from the Casa Que Ve Al Mar complex which made it easy to go down and discuss details with Francisco although we did take a taxi down on our wedding day! He can easily be contacted by "googling" Francisco Ibarra Wedding Planner.
We had looked over all the condos at Casa Que Ve Al Mar before making our decision to inquire about Casa Romantica...What drew us to Casa Romantica was the spacious floor plan, with beautiful furnishings and the extension of the living room that included a lot more "lounging" area and couches right next to the bayside windows. At first we were concerned about not having an outdoor deck, but once we got to the condo, we realized that it was much to warm and muggy to hang out on a deck anyhow and truly appreciated having the additional indoor sitting areas because we never felt cramped or confined to just the living room or master bedroom and we truly appreciated the comfort of hanging out on the couches, next to the windows, with their gorgeous ocean views and at the same time having the comfort of a less humid environment. If we wanted more of an "open-air" environment, the windows opened up, although we never felt the need to open them....We loved getting away from the humidity without sacrificing the natural feeling of being outdoors so we always had the best of both worlds...The sunsets were absolutely AMAZING! The condo was air conditioned although we only needed the air if we were sleeping and there was no need to leave it running all day because it cooled down the condo in about 10 minutes. If we wanted to hang out in an outdoor setting, we simply walked out the condo door and down a few steps and we were greeted by 2 fabulous infinity pools with plenty of sitting areas and lounge chairs, or a quick 5 minute stroll took us right to La Ropa Beach with a few outdoor restaurants for breakfast and WITHOUT crazy crowds and high rise hotels. Plus all kinds of oudoor activities available...Anything from the evening "turtle hatch" in front of "The Tides Hotel" at Sunset to Parasailing, Boogie Board rentals, and Jet Skis, during the day!
In addition to the romantic condo, Mollie was extremely helpful in finding other condos for us to rent in the same complex so that we could accommodate another 25 friends and family. We rented 7 condos total and I personally visited all the other condos and couldn't wait to get back to Casa Romantica...Although, the other condos were nice too, we really enjoyed Casa Romantica and it's central location in the complex. It is on the 5th floor which kept us a bit secluded from the other condos, so when we got tired of visiting our guests, we could "get away!" We also truly appreciated "Rosalinda", the maid. She came everyday, except Sunday and was very sweet and helpful, always had a smile on her face and was friendly and honest. We never used the "safe" and never felt awkward to leave any valuables around.
We brought our own computer, although there was a computer at the condo. It was easy to set up the wireless connection with the cable provided. We were grateful to be able to load all our pictures right away and send wedding photos to friends who couldn't make it down fro the event!
We brought about 12 DVD's with us to watch and regretted spending the money on them once we saw that you had quite a library of DVD's, which we enjoyed watching in the evening before bed, if we weren't immersed in a great READ!
The taxi service from Casa Que Ve Al Mar Condo's was impeccable. We did not rent a car and never felt stranded because of it. We simply walked to the "security gate" and the guards called a taxi for us and we were traveling within 1-3 minutes.
The nearby restaurants were enjoyable, to say the least. We enjoyed the cliff side dining of "Il Mare" and "Casa Kaukan" and if we wanted something a bit more economical, we would take a quick taxi ride downtown. We especially loved Las Braseros (A Taqueria specializing in Tacos al Pastor) and Don Memo, which came HIGHLY recommended by Mollie and Tom. The food there was downright CHEAP and DELICIOUS with gracious servings as well as SERVICE! Our stay would not have been complete without a visit to "La Cala" though. The taxi took us right to the door for a mere $6 and the dining in the private cove with Sea Turtles swimming in their natural environment was breathtaking!
We did make it out of town, as well. We took a taxi to Playa Saldita for some surfing which was pretty expensive at $40 each way. We were still determined to see some other places like Barra Di Potosi and Troncones without spending as much money on a taxi again, and were informed of the Public Bus system located near the "outdoor marketplace" downtown. We boarded a bus to Barra Di Potosi for 10 pesos ($1.00 dollar) and the bus driver told us where to get off. There are small trucks that sit and wait for the buses to arrive, and for another 10 pesos gave us a ride down to the beach area of Barra di Potosi...We had hour long massages for $25, once we settled into the extremely quiet and private surroundings! What an experience! We liked it so much that we visited the bus station the next day and hopped aboard another bus bound for Troncones for, yet again, 10 Pesos. The same situation greeted us again after we got off the bus at Troncones. There were little trucks that you can board for 10 pesos and they give a ride down to the beach area. We were told to go to the Manzanillo Bay Inn (or hotel...can't remember the exact name). It was beautiful and relaxing as well, with a restaurant on the premises and access to the beach.
Well, what more can I say, really?
We look forward to many more returns to your beautiful "home away from home" and hope that we can send many of our friends there, as well!
We want to do it all over again...WEDDING and all! We had the most memorable time of our lives, thanks to such a gracious host and hostess!
Also, please feel free give people my e-mail address for any additional questions as I would be quite honored to recommend Casa Romántica, Francisco Ibarra and Zihuatanejo as a Wedding Destination for an experience of a lifetime!
Until next time,

Hi Mollie! (END OF FEB. - MARCH, 2007)
I am so sorry that this email is being sent to you 4 weeks after we were in Zihua! Things have been very busy for us.
Thank you so much for everything and for all of your wonderful recommendations. We LOVED the condo and everything turned out to be even better then we could have ever imagined. My husband and I have been telling everyone we know how wonderful Zihua is and how we will
definitely be back. I have told many people also about your condo and I hope that they are one day able to take advantage of that wonderful place.
We cannot even begin to decide what restaurants or activities we did were the best because each day was amazing and there was never a cloud in the sky the entire time we were there.
We also have to admit, when we first decided to go to Zihua and read about how everyone says it is paradise, we were somewhat skeptical since everyone thinks the place that they vacation to is the best and most beautiful. Well, after going to Zihua and experiencing it first hand, it is so easy to see why people call it paradise. It is absolutely breathtaking and we cannot wait to go back!
Thank you again for everything and for the wonderful fruit and wine that was waiting for us when we arrived. We hope to visit again sometime very soon and will continue to recommend Casa Romantica to all of our friends!

Hi Mollie, I’m sending you a quick email from my husband’s account since I did not bring my PC. I make it a rule never to check email while I’m on vacation.
We just wanted you to know that we arrived safely and easily – not a hitch. The condo was ready and in great shape when we arrived. It is absolutely lovely. We enjoy looking at all the details from the art you selected, to various fixtures in the bathroom. I’m sitting now at the desk with the windows wide open over the bay. There is a HUGE cruise ship on its way into port. I can’t imagine what that must do to this little town.
We’ve enjoyed the pools over the past few days; have had breakfast at La Casa Café, and dinners at la Perla and Banditos. Everything has been delicious. Today we plan to take to boat to Los Gatas to do some swimming and snorkeling. We ran into a fisherman named Moses yesterday, and are considering a fishing trip later in the week. I’m sure you’ve done some fishing trips here, do you know Moses or is there a fishing boat you would recommend? We’re looking for something that has a bathroom on board, and a bit of shade from the sun.
Everything you said about Zihua is right on. The people are extremely friendly and helpful, the views are wonderful, and the weather is warm (and a bit humid). We are lathering on sunscreen like it’s going out of style!
Thanks again for everything.

We stayed at "Casa Romantica" in December, 2006. The owners, Mollie and Tom, were extremely helpful in helping us reserve their condo. They answered all our questions and concerns via email very quickly and this allowed us more time to just relax and have a great time. When we arrived, we were so relieved to see that the condo looked just like the pictures on the website. Our first impression was that the grounds and pools were beautiful. Our next impression was how great that staff was in helping us get settled and making us feel comfortable!
We loved how the condo was decorated. It felt very casual but also elegant, and we felt instantly comfortable. The views out of the main room and master bedroom windows were breathtaking! Waking up every morning and watching the sunsets out of our windows was truly special.
Also, we loved the appliances in the kitchen. Great showers! Great tv's! Lots of closet space! The air conditioning and ceiling fans were perfect too.
The condo felt really spacious for the two of us, which was a treat. But I also think that it would be very comfortable having more people there - it wouldn't feel crowded with 4 or even 6 people.
We felt that the condo's location was perfect because it was high enough to have great views, yet a very short walk to Playa La Ropa. We also often walked to Playa Madera or downtown for fun and exercise, and it wasn't very far.
We can't wait to stay at Casa Romantica again! -Meredith & Matt, San Carlos, CA
