"I just wanted to let you know that today, April 25, I changed my request for information for a rental in January 2005, and received an immediate response by telephone for a house to rent from Janice Warren, one of your owners. It was just what we were looking for, and have confirmed the rental and sent out our deposit check. Thank you for helping us find the property we were looking for, and with such quick results. Sincerely,"Marsha Hubbs
"I stumbled on your site by accident trying to find hotels in the Siesta Key area for my sons wedding and was totally delighted. The house we are renting will work perfectly and be more convenient than a hotel. Also I was excited to see I could find out about places to stay on my trip to South Africa for our touring part of the conference trip my husband is going to. Thanks, "Harriet

Things to do in Vineyard Haven

Whether it's sightseeing, fishing or dining, it can all be found in Vineyard Haven. This historic harbor is full of museums and scenic places that offer beautiful panoramas of the Martha's Vineyard Island. West Chop Lighthouse, Tashmoo Lake overlook and several museums are some of the nearby attractions worth visiting.

The West Chop Lighthouse

Built in 1817 and reconstructed in 1838, the West Chop Lighthouse played a key role in the history of Vineyard Haven which for 300 years was one of the most important ports on the Atlantic Coast. Recently the lighthouse and its small caretaker's cottage have been occupied by Coast Guard personnel.

The Old Whaling Church

Built 1843 during the peak of the area's whaling industry, the Old Whaling Church is one of the biggest attractions of nearby Edgartown. It can accommodate 500 guests for a ceremony and is one of the finest examples of the Greek revival architecture in New England. The church's 92-foot clock tower still welcomes sailors approaching the harbor. No visit to MA Vineyard is complete without visiting this historic church.

Old Schoolhouse Museum

Located on the Main Street, the Old Schoolhouse Museum was built in 1828 when it served as a carpentry shop, a school and then as the Congregational Church. In front of the museum travelers will find a monument that commemorates three brave women who played an important role in the town's history.

Mytoi Garden

Peacefully located within the Chappaquiddick pine forest, Mytoi is a beautifully designed Japanese-Style garden. The garden features a small pond with an island which can be reached by a charming bridge. There are also footpaths that take visitors through a birch walk, stone garden and hillside garden.

Martha's Vineyard Museum

One of the best ways for tourists to get to know the area's past is by visiting Martha's Vineyard Museum. This fascinating place boasts the island's largest collection of cultural artifacts, historic photographs and archival records. The museum also offers lighthouse tours and hosts numerous special events.
