this is going to sound like a real estate ad, but i was crazy about this place. i was there for two weeks and loved every minute of it. i’ve been going to puerto vallarta for more than 30 years, and i don’t think i’ve ever stayed in a place that i liked so much or that was so easy to live in. i would absolutely recommend this condo to anyone. first of all, you get spectacular sunsets from the balcony! second of all, since the balcony overlooks the beach, you can hear the waves when the balcony doors are open. it is incredibly soothing to go to sleep to the sound of the waves. casa beverly is a beautiful one-bedroom, one-bath condo on los muertos beach on the south side of puerto vallarta (also called the “romantic zone,” or “old town”). the condo is on the third floor, but not to worry -- the building (called the plaza dorada condos) has an elevator. the condo has a small but quite usable kitchen with a microwave, stove, refrigerator, and washer/dryer set that is behind louvered wooden doors. the bathroom has a large tub/shower that is made of ceramic tiles (white with blue birds painted on them). the tub/shower also has a stained-glass window that lets light thru to the bedroom, which is adjacent. the bedroom is nicely arranged, with a closet and two chests of drawers plus folding wooden doors that open onto a very pleasant living room, which itself has glass doors that open onto the balcony. there is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and air conditioners in the kitchen and the living room. there are TVs in the bedroom and the living room, along with a DVD/CD player and a collection of good “beach-read” books. this is not one of those vacation condos where you still have to buy a bunch of things when you get there. the owners provide a very generous supply of everything you could possibly need -- kitchen utensils, pots/pans, dishes, glasses, dishwashing liquid, laundry soap, paper towels, bath soap, toilet paper, and kitchen towels, bath towels, bed linens, and even beach towels and beach chairs! the only thing i ended up buying was shampoo. interesting and unique mexican decorations are scattered thruout, but the condo doesn’t feel cluttered. in fact, it feels much larger than its 800 square feet because of the way the space opens up from the bedroom to the living room to the balcony. it is obvious that the owners have given a lot of thought to maximizing both open space and storage space, and it is also obvious that the owners have put a lot of care into furnishing this condo. the pool area is extremely nice. the pool itself has a graduated bottom and is large enough to swim in but is not huge. the lounge chairs are very comfortable; they are made with some type of porous fabric-type material rather than that scratchy plastic webbing. there are also tables with umbrellas for shade. the pool area has a locked gate to the beach that condo renters can use to go in and out. in my opinion, the plaza dorada condos are in the most convenient part of los muertos beach -- about halfway between the pedestrian bridge to the central downtown area and the part of the south side where the streets start to go uphill, and on each side within one or two blocks of the most popular streets for shopping and restaurants. there is a small internet café next door with shaded tables outside, and there are several small shops, a bank, an ATM, and a couple of larger restaurants on the same block. half a block away is lazaro cardenas park, where lots of activities take place (the park is actually a kind of open plaza with trees and a shaded seating area). finally, this was the simplest rental transaction that i have ever done. the owners are really easy to work with, they respond to their e-mails, they answer their phone, etc., and they are just all-around nice people. they even called me at the condo to make sure that everything was all right and to see if i had any questions.

We had 2 weeks there a few years ago in late October/early November. It was perfect. The condo was everything we could have wanted and more. Just as pictured but you can't hear the ocean just outside and feel the fresh breeze. It is truly heaven. We really liked the other folks who lived there and the staff was always very helpful and friendly. Ted and Beverly (the owners) also helped make it a memorable, enjoyable stay with the hints they let for us (i.e. the freshly squeezed oj just outside the door - yum!). Casa Beverly would be my number one choice for a stay in PV.

We just returned from pv we were there the first part of may. This was our 8 th time there and by far the best condo we've ever stayed in. The owners did a wonderful job decorating and stocking it with everything you could possibly need. We LOVED the tub and the balcony the stained glass windows were a favorite too. It felt very much like home . The staff was friendly and helpful as well.we enjoyed getting fresh juice from the vender on the stree just ioutside the property. We can't wait to go back again. casa beverly was our 3rd trip to pv. we LOVED it!!! my husband insists we stay here and nowhere else. the location is the best and the condo itself is "home." it has all the amenities and is perfect for 2. we are returning christmas week and again in june. with all the places to stay in pv---that says it all. the owners are gems too

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in PV last June thanks in large part to the fact that we were staying at #303 Plaza Dorada. The location could not be better. Right on the ocean, it is a 10-minute walk to the secluded beaches of Conchas Chinas where we snorkeled, and a 5-minute walk to the Malecon, Isla Cuale and downtown. We could hop on a bus to go anywhere along the Bay of Banderas. The Romantic Zone is well integrated and tourism is not overwhelming in that part of town. Life inside the condo was as satisfying as outside. Perfectly designed for two people, the rooms are pleasant, well aerated, and decorated with colorful and joyous local tiles and other ornaments. Spending some time in the swimming pool was a nice prelude to sunsets always as colorful as represented in the picture in this site.
