The Hume Hotel, has gone through several major renovations over its lifetime. While the hotel was renamed as the Heritage Inn in 1980, major changes to the hotel's exterior fašade were completed in 2005 which included an outdoor patio for the General Store Restaurant as well as the hotel's rooftop ?crown'. In addition, the hotel saw the completion of the chic, leather-clad Benwell Lounge adjacent to Taffy Jack's Cabaret. After twenty-five years under the current ownership, the hotel went back to its roots to be renamed as the original proprietor once titled it, the Hume Hotel, paying homage to a local legend and a storied history on the corner of Vernon and Ward Street. Simply put, the historic Hume Hotel offers a truly unique hospitality experience. Come enjoy an authentic taste of Nelson's heritage.
