The famous Hagia Sofia, originally a Byzantine church, later a mosque, and now a museum is 20 metres away. Topkapi Palace, once the administrative centre of the Ottoman Empire, and the Blue Mosque are 15 metres from the hotel. The Islamic and Turkish Art Museum is within 100 metres. The Grand Bazaar and seafront are each 300 metres away.

Getting there. Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost about 1 TRY. The Havas Airport bus departs every 30 minutes for the main bus terminal and Taksim Square, in central Istanbul. Journey time is about 30 minutes. Bus number 96 runs between the airport and the city centre, and a shuttle bus runs to the port. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the city centre should be about 20 TRY-30 TRY. At night, there is a 50 percent surcharge. Prices are all subject to change.
