I stayed here in October 2008. The hotel was just newly renovated then. The building has a really great classic look and feel. For me it represents everything Vienna stands for perfectly. Huge rooms that have been brought forward to the 21st century. Great in room multi media system TV, PC, Internet. Even user controlled amby lights in all colours throughout. The breakfast included was a pleasure. Nothing you couldn't have. Just ask the friendly staff. I travell a lot and stay in hotels all over Austria about 200 nights a year. The Altstadt Vienna was really excellent value, and a great place to spend the time. To sum it up: great rooms, friendly staff, super cool location near the Museumsquartier. I'll be back and so should everyone else.
