Named after the seventh Earl of Devonshire, The Cavendish Hotel is a 19th-century property with a striking white façade that overlooks the sea on Eastbourne's Grand Parade. The hotel sits just 200 meters from the beach. The 119 guestrooms have stylish, contemporary decor in light shades, and include satellite television, coffeemakers and trouser presses.
The resident pianist plays some evenings in the on- site Marine restaurant that serves international cuisine under an original ballroom ceiling. Guests can also enjoy views of the sea in the restaurant, which caters up to 220 guests.

The Cavendish Hotel has a bar which features a sun lounge overlooking the sea at the front of the hotel, where snacks and drinks are available and guests can relax with a book or magazine. Business travelers will appreciate the various business facilities, including fax, e-mail and photocopying services, and guests arriving by car can take advantage of complimentary parking.

The staff at the 24- hour front desk can advise on local sightseeing opportunities and make restaurant bookings. Eastbourne plays host to the premier pre-Wimbledon tennis tournament, which is held at Devonshire Park, just three blocks from the hotel. Driving Directions:
The Gatwick Express train service runs to London Victoria Station. Trains run regularly between London Victoria and Eastbourne via Gatwick. Flightlink coaches run to London Victoria Station and National Express coaches run to destinations nationwide; all depart from the ground floor of the South Terminal. Jetlink services, which run to Brighton, also depart from the ground floor of the South Terminal. Regular trains run between Brighton and Eastbourne. The station in Eastbourne is located one mile from the hotel.
From Gatwick Airport, take the A22 direct to Eastbourne.
