Location. Set on the banks of the Yarra River, the Clarion Suites Gateway is centrally located in downtown Melbourne, close to Melbourne, Austria's business district and within walking distance of historic sites, museums and cafes. The Immigration Museum is across the street from the hotel. The Melbourne Aquarium is within two blocks of the property. Four blocks east is Federation Square and the National Gallery of Victoria. Across the river are some of the city's major centers of commerce, including the Crown Entertainment Complex, the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Southgate Dining Precinct, and the city's Entertainment Precinct. All sites around town are accessible via the public City Circle Tram located on the same block as the hotel.
