Getting there. The metro can be caught from outside the airport. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Take the blue line to Syntagma Square station, then change to the red line, heading in the direction of Aegaleo. Alight at Omonia Square Station. The hotel is 10 metres away. Taxis can be found in front of Arrivals, Door 4, and cost approximately 30 EUR direct to Ilion Hotel. Prices are subject to change.
Getting around. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses, and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city.
