Amazon Explorama Lodges, with 39 successfully operating lodges in the Amazon, has now five lodges, each one on its own private natural reserve, with over 4,000 hectares in total.
Ceiba Tops Luxury Lodge, for an adventure ion luxury, the only one in its kind, 25 mile from Iquitos, on the Amazon River banks and on its own private Primary Rainforest Reserve. The Ceiba Tops Luxury Lodge offers 75 air conditioned rooms and suites, private bathrooms with hot water showers, pool complex including main pool, hydro-massage and a water slide. The Hammock house has a fantastic Amazon River view.
Explorama Lodge, 50 miles from Iquitos, on the Yanamono Reserve, offers programs for two or more days. Romantic kerosene lamps illuminate the palm-thatched roofs of the buildings with 10 to 17 rooms each. Covered corridors connect these buildings to the "Tahuampa" Bar, and the Hammock houses. Showers and toilets are in adjacent buildings.
ExplorNapo Lodge, on the Napo River, 100 miles from Iquitos, on the Sucusari Reserve. ExplorNapo will allow you to explore its Private Rainforest Reserve as well as experience the World's Longest Canopy Walkway almost 120 feet over the ground.
ACTS (Amazon Conservatory for Tropical Studies), a 30 minutes walk from the ExplorNapo base, opened in 1993 as a result of an effort of Explorama Lodges to provide scientists and university students with a location for studies and new discoveries. The installations are similar to the ones at the Explorama and ExplorNapo Lodges.
ExplorTambos, is the most primitive camp in the ExplorNapo Reserve, to reach the ExplorTambos, after a two-hour walk from the ExplorNapo Lodge is needed. Build for only 16 of the most adventuresome guests that will share the experience of spending the night in individual shelters and eating all meals cooked in open fire. Due to the isolation of this camp, the possibilities of observing wildlife is much better here than at the other lodges in this part of the Amazon.

The services of Amazon Explorama Lodges in Iquitos, start with the reception of passengers at the airport, where a naturalist and multilingual guide will welcome the guests and from this moment on will stay with them during all the program. Trips on the Amazon River by fast boat or the three decked Amazon Queen as well as the activities fro the lodges are included.

While traveling from the airport to Explorama's dock, the guide will show and comment the most important points of interest and the history of the city of Iquitos. Some of the constructions where done during the Rubber boom in the late 1800's. Once at Explorama's dock passengers will board the rapid boats or the new three decked Amazon Queen. At the lodges the activities include day and night walks in the reserves, night canoe rides, visits to black water lakes to see the giant Victorias Regias in their natural habitat, boat excursions in search of Pink Dolphins as well as piranha fishing, visits to a Yagua Native American Community, visits to a Riberenho Community, a local Rum Factory where the /"Cashasa/" is made. At the ExplorNapo Reserve guests will experience the World's Longest Canopy Walkway, and the most complete Ethnobotanical Medicinal Plant Garden of the area of Iquitos.

I left your lodges about 2 weeks ago, and miss my Amazon experience already. There were no planes, trains, cars, phones (cell or otherwise)pagers, beepers . . . Only the sound of mother nature at her finest. Our guide Luis C. was very informative and a pleasure to be with. I only wish I was able to spend more time there. I wrote to OAT and said they should cut short the Andes and allow more time in the Amazon!! Thank you for a memorable experience. I hope to make it back. Next Year!!
