Location. The white-fronted Hotel Rio Athens is located on a quiet pedestrianised street off Karaiskaki Square in central Athens, Greece. The hotel is close to key Athens attractions including the Plaka - the Old Town - and the Acropolis. Athens El Venizelos Airport (ATH) is 25 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Set in a neoclassical building, the Hotel Rio Athens overlooks a tree-flanked pavement terrace.

The light-filled restaurant specialises in Greek cuisine and is decorated with cream walls and dark wood furnishings. There is a bar on site, which plays music. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast.

The Hotel Rio Athens offers business services and banquet facilities. Complimentary parking is available on site.

There is a hair salon, library, playground and shop in the hotel grounds and guests are entitled to complimentary use of a nearby fitness centre. Child care is available on request.

Distance to the Hotel Rio Athens is 25 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The suburban rail line connects the airport to Athens' central station, Larissis Station. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Additionally, Metro line 3 runs between the city centre and the airport. Six public bus routes cover Athens and Piraeus, as well as running to Athens Rafina Port. Taxis can be found in front of arrivals, Door 4, and cost about 25 EUR to the city centre. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. The Hotel Rio Athens is on Odysseos Street, just off Karaiskaki Square in central Athens. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses, and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city, but there is a complimentary car park for those who do have a car.

The Hotel Rio Athens, is a beautiful 3 star hotel, located in downtown of Athens Greece,near to the metro station "Metaxourghio".Very quiet tourist hotel with clean and tidy rooms,great buffet breakfast and brilliant bar making the best cafe capuccino in town.The "HR" restaurant, at the ground floor serves many kinds of greek and italian specialities, salads,greek wines and beers. EXCELLENT HOTEL !!!

Hotel Rio Athens is a great place to stay in the city center of Athens Greece, close to all local attractions, the Acropolis, the National Archeological Museum, the old town Plaka, the flea market etc. The hotel rooms are beautiful, brilliant staff and great location. We highly recommend it and we wish to go back again and again.
